Wow there needs more osu support in this thread.

Great game, huge scoring and exciting the whole way through.

Would have loved to have seen some overtime though.

    GO BUCKS!

      What a game.

Anyone who says this shouldn't be repeated in the BCS is a moron.

in other news, I believe UC beat rutgers. Not that I care about UC football (or basketball), but that's kind of interesting.

It wasn't bull, helmet-to-helmet hits on the QB are going to get called every time no matter where or how hard they are.

The game was amazing, and Columbus was so much fun. Everyone there was going crazy. High street was insane.

The score doesn't really reflect the game. I wasn't really at all worried about OSU losing the game. I think that OSU was in the driver's seat the entire game.

The chance of a rematch is possible, but I don't know if I'd like to see it. OSU and Michigan are suppose to play ONCE a year, at the end of the year. I don't like the fact that OSU can win the Big Ten, Michigan be tied 2nd, and have Michigan end up winning the National Title. I think it's going to be OSU vs USC in the National Championship game. Notre Dame really isn't that good this year, and the fact that it's at USC this year, gives the Trojans that much more a chance to win.

Eh... even though it would be great to have a rematch for the national title, don't you think that OSU has earned the right not to face Michigan again?

I was watching Outside the Lines, and one of the guys said that it would be dumb to have a team in the national championship that didn't even win their own conference... and I'll have to agree

OSU hasn't earned shit in relation to playing Michigan again. If they won this game by a lot, or if they won it in Ann Arbor or on neutral ground, then yes, I would agree that they have pushed Michigan out of the picture. But they could only win by 3 at the Horseshoe. It would be complete crap to claim this was Michigan's one National Title chance simply because it wasn't played on neutral ground.

With a game this close at OSU, who is to say who will win at a neutral site?

The only reason that this game was close is because OSU let it be close. They made some really uncharacteristic mistakes (penalties, bad snaps, etc) that they won't make again in the national championship game. Otherwise, OSU ran the ball up and down the top ranked Michigan defense. Troy Smith threw for 318 yards, 4 TD's and 1 INT, which was a lucky play for Michigan anyways. Michigan couldn't stop OSU from passing OR running the football. What's there to make me think the outcome would be any different no matter where the game is played?

Did anyone really think Michigan was going to come back? I was not worried once durin the game. OSU beat Michigan in every category during the game. The final score really doesn't do a good job in telling how close the game really was. OSU was up the entire game other than the first score from Hart. Michigan scored and got the 2pt conversion with around 2 minutes left. I wasn't worried at all about OSU not getting the first down. They couldn't stop OSU's offense the whole game, so I wasn't expecting them to this time either.

The reason I don't think Michigan will go to the National Champioship game is because WHEN you lose plays a huge factor in the BCS. I think that if USC wins out, they will go to the title game. I do think that Michigan would destroy USC if they played them. If USC were to lose to Notre Dame, I think that Michigan might have a chance, but USC would have to lose.

Who's to say OSU won't make those same mistakes again? OSU may be good, but if they makes that many dumb mistakes they're not that good, right? The INT was luck, yes, but Smith had no business throwing into that blanketing double coverage, and the other two fuck-ups weren't bad luck.

As for the running game, take away those two long TD runs (one of which was a stellar fake that likely wouldn't work again) and OSU has 99 yards on 25 carries, nowhere close to "running the ball up and down" anyone.

I'll admit there was no excuse for the passing game (even with their starting safety getting injured right off the bat), Smith made Hall look like an idiot on multiple occasions.
