What kind of god treats people unequally according to if they believe in him or not? Pretty pathetic how a person can worship someone who discriminates like that.

That is the gist of it, yes. However, Daniel was being persecuted for his beliefs and thrown involuntarily into the den. That was why God saved him. This moron, well, was in a much different situation.

Whether the man believed in God or not, you don't test God. That's the agreement. If you believe in him, you believe in him. You don't need physical proof. God's not going to jump out and show himself, no matter how stupid a predicament you put yourself in to test him existence.
