I'm pretty sure there really isn't a debate much anymore whether or not the earth has warmed up during the past few decades and that that is caused by human activity. I always read that most of the scientific community was in agreement about that. I thought the debate was about how great an extent the effects would be and what should be done about them.

This arrogant attitude of not caring about the world (whether global warming is real or not) really isn't called for. I really can't stand it when people have the carefree attitude of "OHH WE'RE NOT GOIN 2 B HERE SO Y SHULD WE CARE". You should care because your kids, your grandkids, your great-grandkids and so forth are going to be living in the world that YOU messed up (you as in your generation). Even if global warming is not completely proven to be occuring NOW, it WILL occur in the future. If we continue to pollute the world, it will only make it that much worse in the future.

I really doubt that the human species could, within the last 100 years, completely change a global sized cycle of heating and cooling. I realize their is a delicate balance, and some studies say to show that the earth's temperature is rising, but we have no clue if it's us.

We can barely predict the weather 2 weeks from now, we do not have the technology to predict what our pollution will do to global temperature years from now. Stop buying into this "Day After Tomorrow" and other bull****.
