Rofl, guys, lets go to Scandia, it's right next to Ontario Mills. Buy an all day pass and go do some rides, includes golf and the such.

I've been there. It's good for maybe 2-3 hours, then it gets boring. I say this is better because you can be more social with everyone here.

They took away BM, but they still have an ok DDR. Thats about all the fun in the arcade inside. Everything else in the arcade is blah.

Califormia Convene

Scandia looks like it is going to be about $15 - $21 for the unlimited pass, and then there would ALSO be tokens for the arcade to buy. We are looking at about $25 - 30 without food most likely, although the location of the place is good for us.

Ok, question to all of you who might be contemplating this:

What are your thoughts about Minigolf, Rides, and/or the Racetrack?
Is everyone wanting to keep this an Arcade meetup, or what?

If you people want the arcade-only meetup, we need to go to Ontario Mills most likely.
If you people like the idea of rides and minigolf also, we can try Scandia.
If people have money trouble, we can always try the Golfland thing, but I don't know how location is for all of you.

I like the Scandia idea; the closeness to home is a major added bonus for me. I've been to Scandia numerous times, and for a mini theme park it's fairly decent. It's definitely more well known for its putty putt putt. Oh, and the UFO ride, gotta love those things.

We have a general time. Either the weekend before or after thanksgiving.

I know that many people have the entire week of because of thanksgiving, and if you guys to, we could also do it the monday or tuesday before Thanks giving. I doubt anyone would want Wed. or Fri.

So really, it is all up in the air. The Saturday after thanksgiving does look good though. I just dont know people's plans.

The UFO ride is a spinning ride that uses centripedal force to simulate a few Gs of force against the side of the ride.At this point the pads that you are standing against also begin to slide upward, and you are suspended in air, with no restraints. Rather fun, but it can make you sick.

Ah, sounds like the Gravitron. It is probably the same unit design. I always want to stand up on those.

Alright people, lets get some ideas on time frame.

We probably need to do it the Saturday after Thanksgiving, unless we want to do it in a week. That isn't much for preparation though. I am going to send out a PM to all people who showed up at this topic, to see if we can get a Consensus.

Cen... Thanks for reminding me about going... But I'm not going to be able to... I live in Boise, Idaho... And unless there is some major reason I go to Cali (Like to visit my Dad for Christmas or something ~wink wink nudge nudge guys~), then I can't go... I'm saving up for college and etc, so I can't afford going down there either... I'm glad to have started the whole California Convene thing to get all us FFR'ers together, but I'm not gonna be able to make it

I just PMed everyone who was in this topic, and I also came to a recognization.

The saturday after thanksgiving is our district assembly of Jehovah's Witnesses, so I am not good for that Saturday. So if that is the agreed date, then I can't go. What else do we have? Is everyone off for the entire week of thanksgiving? If so, we could go on the monday or tuesday before. There is also the saturday before. The only problem is that we only have about 1 to 2 weeks, depending on what we choose.

Honestly, at the moment, I have no idea what my plans are for Thanksgiving. WEll, I have an idea, Wed-Fri I believe I am busy.
