Walkmans got smashed by iPods. Sony does well for themselves in other branches of consumer electronics, but regrettably, they are failing to innovate and selling high-quality products well above the intended price range for products of that type. Like $80 Discmans when you can buy crappier ones for $20 or $30.

They're also losing their brand image.
