        I like anime quite a bit. I think most everyone knows that.

        What most of you probably don't know is that the art style of anime plays a huge part in my enjoyment of it. I find that I enjoy anime style art far more than any other sort of visual medium. I have since I was a young child who didn't even know what anime was, and I probably always will.

        When this appealing art style combines with an engrossing or thrilling story, it manages (for me) to transcend most other forms of media out there.

        Just about the only thing that can match watching a really good anime for me is reading a really good book.

        Also, hentai generally doesn't arouse me. It's fun to have an outrageous one on in the background at a party to laugh at though.

                    I saw Lupin the III for the first time in Venice. It was all Italian and crazier than it noramally was. That and I just got back from eating enough to put India into a food surplus.

                    And I HIGHLY recommend FLCL and Read or Die. Read or Die is just awesome. FLCL is my all time favorite. Mainly from guitar fights.

                        EDIT: Squeek, my story is the same as yours. Hated anime becuase I judged it all from DBS/Sailor Moon/Pokemon and the like..then someone told me to watch Cowboy Bebop on Adult Swim. Fell in love and have now seen more anime than I can to mention.

                                    I am a fan of anime. Though I am not as crazy about as I was. I've already gone through that phase of "if it's Japanese, it is automatically awesome."

                                    About 5-6 years ago, I hated anime and the nerds who watched it..because I was cool and hip. Then my nerd friend told me to watch Evangelion. So I did, and I liked it. And I have not had a girlfriend since then.
