Uhhh, why "LOL"? It seriously doesn't have a direction. Evolution is blind -- there's no "plan" behind it. It's a constant feedback loop with an ever-changing environment.

Evolution very clearly has a direction. As a product of, and great contributor to, the goals of the Second Law, it pushes toward greater entropy generation. On a more local scale, that's the degradation of the solar gradient.

Forgive me for not precisely discerning your point since all you've done is made a ridiculous claim and supported it with "because I said so lol".

You've agreed that evolution has direction but suggest that it somehow loses that direction when you reduce the scale? It's a mechanism that selects for more efficient gradient-reducing organisms by way of generational reproduction, so when you say it's undirected (and thus not responsible) for male-female attraction, of course I take issue.

Aren't the potentially evolutionary changes to DNA brought upon by random mutations? The end result of which random mutations survive is brought upon by non random environmental factors.

Seems like 1 part of it is random and the other is not.
