I hooked up with a random baaabe who's got modeling pics lined up for maxim and sports illustrated this last weekend and the first thing i said to describe myself is that i love to watch anime and play old school video games. Turns out she has a crunchyroll account ( i don't even have a crunchyroll account) and loves naruto just as much as me. Now the girl wants me to practically live with her. How's that for a twist in light of things.

idk if i agree with the sour grapes comment full on. i'm sure it's true much of the time, but i think a lot of folks (myself included) really just -aren't- attracted to what's often assumed to be indicators of physical beauty: tallness, high cheekbones, very large breasts, abs defined past the point of being merely a 'flat stomach,' etc are all physical turnoffs for me. though there's definitely some chance of it being a desensitization issue in terms of seeing this body type plastered everywhere as something to strive for

+1. It's funny how a good handful of women's thoughts are driven by media's perception of an "attractive" woman, so they felt obliged to flaunt these characteristics more than they should. This is really a big turnoff for me and it just so happens that these women are all already attractive (in more common terms "hot") enough. Fortunately there are some who are just as "hot," but still manage to act like themselves. These are the ladies that I am attracted to.

personally, I tend to prefer asians in terms of physical preference so w/e

I know FFR has a good Asian population, so this leads me to an interesting thought. I personally find myself attracted to white girls more than Asians for many personal reasons. I wonder if this applies to many Asians here on FFR.

I myself for some reason am sexually "racist". I don't find someone attractive AT ALL if they are of a darker tone. Or if they have "Asian" eyes. Idc "what" you are, but you have to be a lighter tone for me to find you attractive. I find this weird because "genetically" speaking, you want diversity. I'm assbackwards on this.

OP explained this is on a purely physical level.

It's almost impossible to assume the extent of attraction without actually meeting the person. I personally judge someone's overall character within the first few minutes of meeting them, it's rare for me to change my mind about being attracted to or disliking someone after this "judgement" has taken place. This is why "love at first sight" is so common, however I really think it translates to either "infatuation at first sight" or "love at first interaction"

i've gone through "phases" where i've had a preference for just about most "types" of women. i dunno if at this point in my life, i've "stabilized" so to speak, or if i'll get a new preference in a couple of years.
