Good Luck hoping for CoD to be disbanded. There are way to many people playing that game and buying it. Sales for that compared to Halo or GH just wrecks it. Really activision has 2 games that are just not going to wither away:
Starcraft
World of Warcraft
It's not really going to be a tremendous loss for these guys seeing as everyday there are at least 25 accounts being made like every 3 hours. These guys are making a fortune as it is. Sad to see GH go though...Comment

I think there are two games of it. Guitar Hero 1 and 2 are by far the best in the series. It stated going downhill at Legends of Rock, and don't even get me started when Activision took over. My only exception imo is Metallica for it's massive challenge on drums. I really like it.Comment

I'm gonna have to agree with this, plus GH3 is the only one that I own.
It's somewhat sad to see the series go away though, it's been around for a while, and it's a great game to play with friends. Though it did get annoying having a new one every year, same with cod. But hey, there's still plenty of songs to buy on the Playstation store for me, so I never really get bored oh gh. =D
But yeah, RIP GH series. =(

Hmm...nah gonna have disagree with the insane amount of over-charted songs and the same time when Rock Band came out. It only got so many sales because of the hype it got after people started discovering GH2, which was amazing.
Also, people were good only because of the super-lenient timing window =/Comment
