The reason for the stop is because they wanna focus on more "Mainstream" games, like big games to make more money with. Activision is going to work on more COD, starcraft, and WOW.

Damn do I hope for that.

But there have been way too many GH's. I only ever bought 1 and that was Metallica because I knew it was a game my dad and I could enjoy together [past times of him and I in the car at night blasting Mandatory Metallica on our radio station].

Personally preferred Rock Band all along. Didn't like the guitars for GH because of how separated the buttons were. I have little hands so it didn't help >.> yay for the lower and smaller buttons of the RB guitars :3

Isn't Halo already over though? I mean, they announced Reach to be the last game of the entire thing.

Anyways, I guess it's not only the poor sales but the fact that they got DESTROYED by Rock Band's new "keyboard" peripheral. It's still going, they're owned by a private company now instead of MTV, and still got a lot to release. Problem is, I dunno if they're gonna last too long as well I mean...these games are dying out. Hopefully RBN2 will revive it up again.

Nah, local radio station in Baltimore, Maryland, 98 Rock. From 9 PM to roughly midnight they play Metallica non-stop. There's rarely a song of theirs that I do not like <3

Ah..94.5 The Buzz in Houston plays about 30min to an hour of Metallica starting at 10p CT. Songs are either requested by listeners or picked by the DJ.

Well I, for one, is happy with the end of what was once my favorite game ever.
Guitar Hero 1 and 2 are by far the best in the series. It stated going downhill at Legends of Rock, and don't even get me started when Activision took over. My only exception imo is Metallica for it's massive challenge on drums.
Thankfully, the peeps who started the guitar-madness, MTV Games and RedOctane made the now awesomely superior Rock Band series (imo). Tis just what I had to say.

Guitar Hero over charts the songs for their games. Rock Band follows the actual sound of each instrument. Case closed
