Tosh, when I say ranged, I mean from one side of Hyrule Castle to the other.

    Try again.

I believe of all of those, only the Star Fox characters have an attack that makes it all the way across.

Kirby was my first awesome character. I could easily beat almost anyone I played with him. Then I stopped playing for a month or so.

Fox was my next favorite character. I could then again beat almost anyone I played. Then I stopped playing for about 3-4 months.

Marth was my most recent character. I PWNED with him. Like literally raped anyone I played...I won a few awesome store tournaments that got me about $150 store credit total for GameSwitch...Which ****ing moved -_-.

Now I have no clue who I want to master...I might do Fox again, because I loved his extremely speediness.

Squeek, you can't throw a beam sword from one end all the way to the other unless you really do a lot of setting up, and even then I'm pretty sure you can't do it, or anything near it.

Even Link's Arrow will go further than it, IIRC.

You can throw a beam sword pretty damn far on Hyrule Castle if you double jump and smash throw the sword. But no where near the whole level...Maybe to the break in the level.

You're thinking of throwing it left to right.

I'm talking about right to left, where you'd get the most distance.

It'd go past the break, easily.

How about it bouncing the rest of the distance?

Technically, since bounces can damage people(I think), then that also counts as distance.

The reason I ask is because your location says Winter Park FL. Megagamez has a console section, and if they were holding SSB tourny's I'd have to join in.

It can, just with reduced force (it doesn't send the player that far).

                    I think.

I really need to get SSBM back out.

Tosh, just the fact that it hits is good enough.

My aim and timing is impeccable.

                        Haha, SCORE!
At play N' trade they hold like 2 tournaments a month and one of them is usually super smash melee. However, i just got an inside tip that they are now holding weekly super smash melee tournaments with a $1 entry fee starting this thursday at 5. I am assume its going to be an exclusive deal to this specific store because i havent heard anything from the play n' trades around the valley so... I guess i will also have to assume that the first place prize is the standard $50, or at very least the pot of money, and i also think it is not being advertised. Ill scan in the little invite thing i got when i get the time.

                          Then Squeek, play Link.

I mean really, it's the obvious choice. I play Link all of the time, with his awesome ranged attacks and all, as well as Samus.

Really, you can use their projectiles to tick off an opponent then whack the opponent if s/he tries to get close.

                            Link is REALLY REALLY slow.

                            Can't stand him.

Also, you can't fire a charged arrow in the air. There's no way to get a full draw on the bow before you land. LOSE.

Who the hell cares about charging arrows in the air :/ The ONLY reason people jump to throw items sometimes is because they NEED to in order to throw it far. Usually, when you get smashed into the air, you lose your item anyway.

And just throw a boomerang if you must have your midair ranged attack. Or rather, throw a bomb. It acts just like any normal item would.

Tosh, range attacking is way different than item throwing.

Totally different elements here. I play as Pikachu on N64 and I would say that I make fairly effective use of his B attack. That said, jumping and throwing items is still 1000% more fun always. I'd sooner give up every attack on Pikachu's B button than give up the ability to throw items.
