Why the hell do they even need these new Pokemon? Do old Pokemon players really want to have to learn all of those new names and types? Hell no. Do all of those new to Pokemon(and the crowd they're mainly going for) want to have to learn like 500 Pokemon? Not at all, no way.

Really, they should just stop while they're ahead. Maybe we'll learn all of the current types within the next 10 years if they do.

They're not exactly catering to alot of old players are they. I mean as son as RSE came out, alot of the original players lost interest.
Everywhere I go, people would say that it died after Gold and Silver and comment on how bad RSE is because of all the changes and blah blah blah.

But I do agree with how there is way too many Pokemon now. I'd say make one "ultimate" game with the four regions and end it there. Maybe some collections for the Wii or something as well. Much better than bringing up another set of Pokemon every few years.

Nah, for me the fun with new Pokemon games is seeing the new Pokemon, catching them and creating my own sucky teams. Some people get too serious though, with IV and EV training etc.

The latest Pokemon game I played was Sapphire, after that it just got old and just plain not fun because...

A. They added MORE pokemon
B. Re-used all the same ideas they had before from previous games i.e gold silver etc.
C. They made it harder to understand.
D. THEY GOT RID OF MISSINGNO!!! That was pretty funny to see someone go "OMG new pokemon" and when they catch it it messes up and the whole bit with Glitch City and all. Haha fun times.

Overall they killed it.

After all I've seen about Diamond and Pearl, I think that this might be the best game in years.

And by that, I mean slightly less awesome than Gold/Silver.

Possibly. I guess Ruby/Sapphire could be more of a learning experience for them. They probably've learned to put less Pokemon in a game.

Wrong, Nintendo wanted to milk Pokemon as much as they can. More Pokemon = ~5 more games, longer manga and anime, and all the other merchandises such as TCG and plush dolls. All that money, why would they give it up?

I'm surprised kids still want to get into Pokemon when it's so big. I remember when Magic: The Gathering was really popular, and I didn't really care for quite a while. Eventually (after playing the Pokemon TCG for a long time and sparking interest in TCGs in general), I finally grew a small interest in Magic, but it was just so huge with so many cards at that point that it felt overwhelming to catch up on what the older players knew, so I just stopped caring.

If Nintendo went ALL OUT and made a huge MMO Pokemon with the Original 151 pokemon, I would <3 them.

I havn't played since red/blue. But I beat the living crap out of those games.

If they were making an official MMO, I'd doubt they'll limit it to the first 151 Pokemon.

I doubt they would also. But the first 151 were by far the coolest imo.
Monsters look strange and stupid for the most part past 151.
