maybe you should consider taking her to a mall with an arcade or an arcade and play games there but be sure you pay for her tokens or whatever is being used to play the games. it worked for me

I am female, but still not really the viewpoint you want, since I love video games anyway on my own right. Although I can say that I lived in a dorm with two non-gaming females, and they both loved my Taiko Drum Master. Even if they didn't become masters or anything, they really loved playing it, as did a large number of people who somehow found out I had that game in the room. XD

(I also have to admit, while I love most video games and tend to have a knack for them to some extent, I do fall into that category of flat-out sucking at FPSs. =( Maybe I just haven't played enough.)

Amanda plays Mario Party even when I'm not playing with her, so that's always a good choice. Super Monkey Ball works, too, though not as well.

I got my two other girlfriends playing Halo, though, so I wouldn't rule it out. Granted, my friends and I would just sit around and play Halo all the time or at parties, so it was more of a way to not get left out for them, but they picked it up and loved it.

Mario Party and Super Monkey Ball games work best from what I know. My sister's friends played those games =/

Tales of Symphonia had fun co-op battles but its annyoing for the person who is player 2 and has to watch you run around forever when your not battling. I still say Katamari was the best suggestion so far. I love that game. Wait. I <3 that game .

XD I never get tired of people's reactions when they find that out. It's endlessly amusing.

For on-topic-ness... Mario Kart is definitely a good choice I'd say. Roommate loved that game too, and it's intuitive and fun.

Puzzle games might also be a good idea, like Tetris or Bust-A-Move. I've known a lot of girls who got addicted to those games even when they didn't play other games regularly.

Also: BOMBERMAN. Multiplayer Bomberman is one of the best things ever. XD I have no gauge on whether or not the average girl likes it, but it's pretty simple and fun so I'd imagine it's worth a shot.

There's always the low-key stuff like Animal Crossing, too. It really depends more on the person, I guess. People won't like fast-paced games if they aren't used to it or don't have quick reflexes and such, whether they are a girl or not, so you'd have to see what kinds of games she's most comfortable playing and pick fun ones with that guideline.

All the people who suggest DDR or anything like it: No. Jenna doesn't like that. She also knows already that I'm much better than her, so I couldn't pretend to suck.

Also, it really sucks that I only have a PS2, cuz all of the simpler and more girly games appear to be on Nintendo consoles. I'll prolly get a Wii for that very reason, cuz if she can't find a game she likes for that, we something is wrong. I'll have to get the obvious stuff like Mario Kart/Party, SSB, and maybe Monkey Ball. Plus with the virtual console thing I could get classics that she's know and love like Tetris and such.

I do have Bomberman for PS1, though, but I can't remember if she likes it or not. Seems like everybody I meet and force to play Bomberman doesn't like it. =\

OH! I have this game, Demolition Racer. My sisters liked it cuz you just crash your car and try to do the most damage. I'll have to see if she likes that. >=)

I guess you have a point there. Wait, is your gf a pro at ITG ? I've yet to see a female player who could do Vertex on hard or above. [ this last sentence has no relativity to anything im saying ].

It's fun to play by yourself, it's fun to play with someone else, it's got great replay value, and it has wicked-awesome music. If you had a Gamecube, I would be screaming "Wario Ware Inc. Mega Party Game$" (I rented it from blockbuster, put it on the big screen theater, and had the greatest time playing it with my brother), but you have a PS2. Get We <3 Katamari.
