Who's your best character, Tosh? GameFAQs has the paths you need to take to fight him in Tales of Souls mode. You can't lose except against "you're being watched" battles (because those don't really count) if you want to battle Night Terror. I actually have yet to fight him outside of Final Battle in Mission Mode, because I can't for the life of me beat Olcadan. For one, all the people I'm good at fighting I already fight in the story, so his random weapon is always someone I'm not good against (Mitsurugi, Voldo, Sueng Mina, or Cassandra, mostly). For two, he blocks/guard impacts like a whore. I mean LIKE. A. WHORE. I don't think I've hit him twice in the same round before. Well, once I almost beat him, but then he got a cheesy ring out of evil doom on me and I cried.

Remember, YOU CANNOT LOSE. The ony ones you can lose on are optional battles (where it says you are being watched) but if you lose on those, you won't beat Olcadan.
