Slank cover (if I understand it correctly) refers to a wolf or suspicious person giving an excuse as to why they aren't posting/doing something, usually related to real-life circumstances.

i.e. "I'm going to work. See you all in 10 hours!" could be interpreted as slank cover if you think that person is using it simply to get out of suspicion and is setting themselves up to not be posting for a long time period. That person, who may be lying about leaving, could just be lurking the thread for that time as suspicion shifts off of them/finds new targets/etc.

jrodd can correct me on this but slanker is a person who has posted very little overall during the game.
leaving slank cover applies to anyone (not just scum) stating a reason why they won't be active or were not active at some point during the game.
