As I had a decent conversation with Guido on AIM about his game.... he is trying to put in ALOT of new things all at once, which cleraly will lead to balance issues like Chardish's games usually have... I say give Guido another game's worth of time to think his game over more and get it balanced, THEN lets try it out. Plus, you're now just trying to throw rolls together haphazardly to try and get it balanced, which IMO... it isn't. Give it 2 weeks or so to figure it out, get it right... then lets play it.
EDIT: uh... also eb... you say 14/3 for the game. Normal games are 16/3. You can still make it 14/3, but just realize there will be 1 less day for the humans. Your call.
I've gotta go with eb, too. After reading Guido's initial host signup and then his edits, I forgot exactly what the game consisted of. Now, I'm not so sure the game is balanced or not.
Granted, we've had normal TWGs a lot lately, but this change in story is a breath of fresh air... making every day and night a flash-based comic? Simply awesome. More people will pay attention to the story, too. It adds something to the game, for those of you losers who don't read it.
Crap. At this rate, I'll never get to host ;-;

I'm gonna have to vote eb. He showed me his idea a few days ago, and it seemed like a great idea. Guido, you seem to have a lot of good ideas, but I think they could use another cycle in the oven. Were you to re-hash them a bit and run next time, I would almost certainly vote you.
Voting Guido because I'm being blackmailed into it. D:
I watched clouds awobbly from the floor o' that kayak. Souls cross ages like clouds cross skies, an' tho' a cloud's shape nor hue nor size don't stay the same, it's still a cloud an' so is a soul. Who can say where the cloud's blowed from or who the soul'll be 'morrow? Only Sonmi the east an' the west an' the compass an' the atlas, yay, only the atlas o' clouds.
7-4 eb over guido... figure let it run until 4pm tomorrow...
signups start at 5pm tomorrow and again at either 10pm or 11pm. eb should also decide if we are sticking with 14 or going with 16 for number of players. every 3 wolf game in the past has been 16.
Normal games have a psychic that can be killed and usually isn't able to tell roles anyway. In my game, everybody is told the person's role when they die. If everybody thinks I should make it 16/3, we can do that, doesn't really matter to me.
So I've gone completely slack-ass and haven't done any work on creating games. =(
In less-depressing news, I got a job for an online business (which sells non-electronic games, of all things!) which has taught me a lot about marketing online and all that jazz.
Okay, initially, yes, the game could have been broken, and it was an oversight on my part, but after thinking about it a lot, we'll just be having new roles. I've gotten a bit bored with the usual roles, so I wanted to try something new. One of my roles has been used before and another is just a very slight variation on one we've always used. I wanted the third one to be interesting, and that was the hardest part. However, I think it's in a form that could be played without being broken or useless.
To recap:
The game will be a 3/16 game with a master wolf and three blues:
prostitute: Just a seer with the ability for the wolves to blackmail someone (see initial post for longer description).
voyeur: Same as it was used before. Again, see the initial post.
bookie: Every night he bets that a certain person of his choice gets wolfed that night or lynched the next day. If he is right, he will have the option to go vigilante on someone on the next night, anonymously.
That's it. Actually fairly simple and isn't blue-happy to the point that the civilians have nothing to do but sit around and hope the blues win it for them.
So, we have to (well, I think we should) try some new roles out some time, and since I'd be sitting this game out if I didn't host anyway, this is a perfect time. Plus, the death messages, people! The stories will be fantastic, I guarantee it.
