chardish the chances of that happening are way too low man, and you know it. A wolves' ward could easily be murdered or lynched before that night.
it also makes no sense for humans to have wolf wards, for the same reason. And if humans therefore have to have human wards, then they start the game basically with someone they know for sure is a human, and that gives them an advantage. You could easily IM someone saying "I'm your protector" and boom, an alliance before the game even starts.
furthermore, as far as points go, I don't think points should be awarded to those who manage to kill their mark or those who's ward survives if they don't survive to the end themselves. This will decrease the selfishness of the play.
