I know this may not have much of an impact of whats going on. But Ill take a game ban or what ever you deem necessary because of my PM. I wasn't thinking and had a full blown derp moment. Ill take responsibility for my actions and what ever the consequence is for said action.

One thing I've always kept in mind in playing TWG is that there is always next game. For me, by the time I sign up for another one, what happens in the last game I play doesn't seem nearly as important to me anymore.

For what it's worth Cav, I'm actually black, female, and formerly Muslim. It's not like I don't understand what it feels like to feel offended by something discriminatory, but if it was not supposed to be taken offensively, then the measures previously taken seemed a bit much even to me.

Not that saying a sarcastic, prejudiced comment to someone you don't even know is totally okay. I've had my times where I blew up because of that on other sites. Maybe in the context of a TWG this may have been more acceptable, but this is a jTWG, and Cav obviously wasn't prepared to deal with that.

Also TWG committee thing sounds coolio. This entire situation made enjoying TWG pretty hard, and if the goal of this jTWG is to encourage new people to play, then situations like these are going to scare away quite a few people.

No, the point is that they WOULDN'T direct something like that at somebody actually represented by the comment, which is why they are "okay" to use. If somebody said that to somebody they actually knew had been raped or had downs, nobody would think it's okay. They're trying to normalize this as, essentially, "boys will be boys" which is really gross.

The reason I don't empathize with you has nothing to do with not understanding prejudice. It has to do with the fact that he made one sexist comment in the thread and you are trying to convince me he made three. I stop giving a shit when you are trying to paint a minor offense of gun's as though gun is a full-blown member committing the horrible things that are a part of the class of actions called sexism. You decided to find a more sexist interpretation than really exists which makes me stop feeling like your frustration is something I feel like siding with. Sexism is bad but people who make rats into boogeymen are also bad. TC_Halogen is suggesting restructuring the rules of a game that has been played for like 10 years because of how upset you are at your own reaching read of gun's comments. I don't really like it and I could find more polite ways to say this game isn't for you but I think this gets to the point.

Hey.

I want all the chatter that's being directed at Caverino to stop.

Feel free to discuss the game at your lesiure, but if I see one more post directed at Caverino reguarding any of the issues that came up between her and Gun or her and YoshL I will start handing out 3 day bans.

This includes snide side comments and anything clever meant to subvert what I mentioned above.

I've had enough. I am dealing with this issue with Caverino on a personal basis and the constant berating of her or her gameplay is not helping.
