DDR is hard in some ways. The way the arrows scroll and the kind of noteskin they have makes it harder for us to see and react to the arrows. ITG's noteskins and various types of arrow scrolls allows you to choose the arrow scroll type to make it much easier to see the arrows for you to react to (try it in stepmania, play one song with the default arrows and normal scroll, then again with metal arrows and any scroll you want). DDR also has a lot of good music, while ITG has some OK music which is most american techno, but I just don't like the song selection. ITG has amazing stepcharts though. DDR is starting to lose their taste in good stepcharts for good music.

DDR has MAXes and color-changing arrows. ITG doesn't. ITG still wins, but it doesn't pwn horribly and DDR will always have a special place in my heart...

ITG does too.

the ''vivid arrow'' mod makes the arrows flash just like if they were DDR.

Not on the home version though only in arcades.

Thats true, i think people should start off at DDR then after playing for a few years move on to ITG for the lvl 12 13 14 15 16 stages.

DDR is a good game with some great songs.......

But its for noobs...

i hav only DDR at home but i prefer ITG ne day only cause DDR has only like wut five good songs at the most and itg which ive only ever playd twice has better songs

People always say ITG is better just because its harder, but any songs that are not on expert or hard are not fun at all, they are just boring. DDR is different, any song, on any difficulty, is always fun.

What lol. There are fun songs on easy difficulties on ITG. Also there are songs on DDR that are easy and no fun at all. Same with ITG.

Considering there are like 10 odd DDR games and two ITG games I think ITG hold there own pretty well. So far, between the 3 DDR games I've gone through there are like 6 fun files to me. When ITG has given me at least 20 odd and I haven't unlocked all the songs and that yet. I haven't played ITG2 yet either.

And I think it was DDR Max 2 and DDR Extreme.

And it does not really matter, once I get my cobalt flux (I am getting a job at the movie theater, blech), I am getting both anyway.
