Izzy, I agree. Going to thirdstyle, you see this massive banner explaining what the game is about....while we don't need something that big, a header that actually meant something would be good. Do we still have the welcome to FFR banner that new users used to get?

We do? I opened FFR in another browser that I haven't logged FFR in before and it didn't show, is it only when new users have registered that it shows?

Ah okay well that makes sense. At the same time though, don't you think maybe people who don't register right away should see it too? It might make things easier for them to find..

I was thinking about this today and decided it would be cool if we could come up with some advertising banners or links to get out there on other sites, to spread word of FFR. If there were uniform official banners or sidebar ads made for FFR, it'd be an interesting and useful way to get word out some.

If you think it'd help, get a team together and make some banners for us. Remember, a lot of time it costs money to put them out there, and FFR is non-profit now. It'd be coming out of the users' pockets, or some of the staff.

And I realize that, but even if we could find (potentially small traffic) sites that would let us display the banner, it's publicity never-the-less.

EDIT: I followed the post at the bottom of that page, does that shit still work? If I did all that could I broadcast on FFR? I might consider it, if people would be interested lol.

DOUBLE EDIT: Dang...oddsock is down, can't use that. Is there another way to do it, without that software?

TRIPLE EDIT: Might have found a different location for a dl of Oddcast, I'll see where it gets me and if it will work.

QUAD EDIT: Welp, got everything up and running, but it won't save my settings for the encoder, and then won't connect. I'm not sure if that's a server-side error, but my guess it is. The settings thing I have no idea on though.

PENT EDIT: Still playing with it, got the settings saving, working on trying to get it to connect...I'm pretty sure the server for the radio doesn't exist anymore...

HEX EDIT: Is "Unable to connect to socket" my end or yours?

I looked at it A LOT and tampered with almost everything, I think what it is is that the FFR server for the radio is no longer existent. If Velo could find a way to get that back up and running I could broadcast or at the very least get that Instruction page up-to-date so others could. I think the problem is that this: http://www.flashflashrevolution.com:8000/ doesn't exist anymore.
