Also, for the jumpstream throughout the file, it should still have the yellow down note remain the same throughout the song, as it almost never actually leaves that C note on the left hand. But instead he just goes crazy in the jumpstream. But yeah, it's no where near that fast
I've listened to this song be performed by dozens of people, and it's always been only slightly slower than the version in this stepfile.

    "NOOOOOOOOOOOO!" Yelled Foil in horror.
"Don't worry. I'm a wizard" uttered Keywii. And with that, Foil's penis grew back.

Why would you make a thread to complain about a good file. Do you realize how gay and unfinished a zproperly made file for this would be? Of course you don't

? I've heard around 10 different versions, and found nearly every live video I could on youtube as well as seen it performed in concert, it's never been anywhere near that fast, I have no idea what you mean slightly slower, unless you are watching a very unique player who puts his own spin on things, I've seen people try to play pieces at triple the speed, doesn't mean it's how they are generally played.

either I haven't played the file in a while, but I don't recall the entire thing being that fast throughout, or anywhere near it, and none of these renditions keep that speed for most of it, if only for short bursts.

this ones pretty close to speed, but the D flat octave staccato's are still never that fast:

Then again, if you had a computer play constant speed, I guess that's what you'd get *shrugs*
It's getting better all the time
I used to get mad at my school (No, I can't complain)

that's fine if you do. That's not what pisses me off, I will be more specific.

The stepartist has about 8-10 jumps it looks like in the ending jack, when in reality, it's only supposed to be 5. So, why are there 8 in an area where there should be 5? Because he made it faster than it should be. It's a general complaint, you guys don't need to give a crap if you think I'm wrong, that's fine. It's my opinion, that I don't like it because he overstepped those last 2 jacks, which is fact.

all those vids you posted are slow because of one or both of these reasons:
                    a. they're an amateur who can't play the song at 96 BPM
                    b. they're putting their personal spin on the song, thus elongating it

Anyone wanna just appreciate Chopin for his amazing music? =(

This thread quickly turned into a discussion/rant about the stepfile when the OP was just a simple question about who played it, when of course the recording is not a live nor human performance.

                      All hail Chopin pl0x?

Sorry, had to laugh a little bit at the bolded part

It's not overstepped, and there's only 6 notes (repeated). They are properly quantized, too. This version doesn't have extra notes inserted as you are saying. It's not that we do/don't give a crap about you being correct or not, but you're verbally accusing the simfile artist of doing something incorrectly when it's actually fine. Also, w_c is right -- it's not very easy to get a good file out of this song if you step it directly.

At the OP: I'm starting to believe more and more that this is a well made .midi file because it holds at 140 BPM through a large duration of the song, with the exception of the aforementioned jump-jacks which looks to be doubled because the simfile artist was using SM 3.9 and couldn't get in between the finest quantization (64ths). By doubling, he was able to offset the notes by 5/48ths of a note, which syncs up perfectly. Outside of the sped up section, the song runs at 140 BPM.

The beginning in FFR's version is, yes, very fast compared to what's written, however the speed in the duration of the song is very close to Cziffra's interpretation. Valentinia Lisitisa(sp.) plays the whole thing almost boringly slowly.

I play it rather quickly, not quite FFR fast, but about 108. I feel the song has a sort of haunting pulse that has to be preserved.

                            Sorry this is so delayed.
