That's a pretty good idea. Install Timing features to increase your PA. Nice thinking man!

Well, an FFR AAAA and AAAAA doesn't necessarily have to be the same as SM's. I mean just look at FFR's AAA's, those are certainly nothing like SM's already.

From what I understand, it's the last frame that counts as "Perfect" under flawless timing, as that's the frame that directly covers the arrows.

If you want to equate FFR timing to "SM timing," just consider that one frame = 1/30th of a second in FFR. So to get an AAA under flawless timing, you'd need accuracy within 0.0333333333s. As it stands right now, under default timing, we've got .1s of wiggle room to AAA.

Yes, but it's not quite as simple as that, since any given note could be up to half a frame off when converted into FFR timings. So unless you're incredibly accurate (or the song is an exact bpm that would have everything in an integer number of frames), to AAA a song on strict/flawless timing you would have to be reading the individual frames the notes are on, rather than hitting the notes perfectly in rhythm like you would in SM.

It's a 45 millisecond window, iirc. Flawless timing AAA would be more or less equal to a quad on judge 6.

What? I'm talking about after conversion. I'm well aware of how the FFR conversion works (I *made* a converter, lol). I'm talking purely in terms of timing with respect to arrow position -- not its sync.

I'm not really arguing against you, but rather pointing out that the idea of equating FFR and SM timing is not very accurate. You can compare the numbers, but MAing on FFR and MAing on SM are going to be very different things.

Of course -- but we all already know SM and FFR are quite different games with different frames-per-second rates. Trying to understand the relative windows in terms of time is still useful.

yeah flawless timing tourneys are going to be fun as hell.

haha actually vanilla I like it being difficult to anti-pa so I'd still do that on default.

awein probably likes this update the most because now it'll be easier to anti-PA Hah

EDIT: Oh & by the way, how will this affect replays?

Since the replay engine isn't updated and I don't have the proper flash files to update it, it will show the score you would of gotten on Default.
