Re: Asking for vRofl challenges is against the rules

I think Tass put it best in saying something like this:

The top 8 are going to get it unless one of the top 8 are staff or something like that. The token won't get pushed back unless someone on staff wins it. He also said that he wanted to keep it very limited and encouraged previous winners to come back to hold their titles/winnings. Most of the divisions were fair. Sure, there were some people who could compete on a higher level, but that just increases the competition because if they were to move up a division they would probably not stand a chance.

This applies to skill tokens as well, right?

that's really stupid. I think that if you WIN the token, it now belongs to you and you should be able to do what you want with it.

Like when you give someone a gift, you bought it, but since you willingly gave it up, it is now out of your hands.

The tournament organizer (Sprite-, as it was) checks each and every person's stats and levelranks to get a bearing of how good they are and stuffs them into the appropriate slot.

Hence the waiting time before the tourney actually began.

Sometime in 2008. Just maybe though, something might happen and all of a sudden it'll be 2009 and no tournament will happen.
Why would you put that in your signature? You've lost your signature rights for a month. (You'll get them back on March 10th, 2012.)

Tass mentioned in the 2nd tourney that top 8 get it only! Token owners should defend others from getting it, making it harder and harder for others to obtain it. I will gaurentee that at least 5/8 from each division on the next official tourney will defend their top 8 spot.

                  And popularity is tite.

But what happens if I were to say, place top 8 in the 4th official tourney and get the token, but then I don't enter the 5th official. Do I lose the token?

Also something kinda weird about token 18, wouldn't it be more fitting as a Skill Token? Tokens are more about brain teasers and IMing people for links to the token. Skill tokens are exactly that...Skill. Placing top 8 in a tourney is considered a SKILL, at least in my opinion.

I was thinking the same thing. +1 support for vrofl being skill token , and i think if you "win" it, you deserve to keep it. It's like telling a nfl team they only keep the lumbardi (sp?) trophy for a year...

So you agree in principle with my statement, just not enough to break the number 1 rule which is to follow all rules, no matter how stupid.

I mean, it sucks either way, but at least you fail earlier on SM so you don't go through all the pain and agony of getting to the WoD before failing >_>

I'm pretty sure once you've earned a token you can't get it taken away.

Im fairly sure the owners of vROFL can challange you to it, you just cant ask.

Go make a random thought on your profile saying you really, really want to try it and maybe someone will let you
