It's kinda of difficult to separate all the genres in Dance because of all the ridiculously different electromica subgenres they can be categorized to. Actually, I think if we were to separate the Dance section, we should just go ahead and make an "Electronic" genre to make less confusion.

Hiphop and Funk could join together, and Electronic could take the empty space where one of those two used to be. Hiphop is a tricky genre to collect without asking more amateur artists (most I really don't care for). I've asked Eyedea, Diverse, Illogic, Sage Francis (all who would be 100% perfect for FFR) and none of them seem to be very interested in it.

Rock is a pain in the ass to step because the human isn't perfect in time, so not only are there miniscule tempo changes (and believe me, no matter how small the bpm change, it can totally ruin a song if you leave it out.), but the band isn't 100% on with with music, which adds to more bpm changes to keep the drummer on beat (it's not extremely noticeable to the human ear, but steppers can physically see how off or on it is, and this goes back to the bpm changes thing).

Let's forget the rants and get back on the subject. Merging Funk and Hip-Hop is good. We can have two Dance sections, and that might help make Dance be more La--eh, n00b friendly. To be real, I dont think we need another section in the game.

Rock music would be a great addition, but as mentioned a couple of times above, it's really hard to calculate an exact BPM. Fusion songs would be the suggestion - lay down an electronic beat and rock out with a guitar ... and a cowbell.

And I shall be looking forward to the disco song.

Those are like...two completely different genres...

You're not getting the point. It's that they are both very empty genres with barely any music; the purpose of combining the two is to make room for other, more popular genres (Dance, obviously).

since songs are so damn expencive these days, i think it would be nice to have a "covers" section, where we would have popular songs covered by a dance or electronic artist. that way we could prolly have some more main stream music without the 100,000 $ pricetag for like 10 songs. also i really like Toby Emerson, i have been listening to him since before i started ffr 6 months ago he is progressive techno style, i guess i would call it, its got alot of super fast melodys that build slowly so it would be great to have a bunch of songs from him for a hyperbeat section. jsut re-steping rain drops into a chalenging or very dificult would be awsome i love that song, but the steps are soooo booooring.

are we fixing the issue of when you pick a song on one page, then swich to the next page and pick the song in the same spot, it will play the song selected on the last page?

The thing about covers, is that in order not to have to get permission from, oh say Paul Simon, then you'll need to make it diffrent enought to have it as a remix. ~The Sound of Silence SUPER HARDBEAT EURO MIX~ yeah!

It would still be a good idea. It worked with acade, after all.

i think i just got an even better idea for a genre, have a personal favorites list. i alwse find myself coming back to some songs more than others, and some are waay down in dance page 4 or 5, so i think it would be cool if you could have a custom section, or even a play list. so you can play multuple songs in a row without having to go through menus. now i know that prolly would take up a massive amount of memory on the servers, but would it be possible to store that information on the home users computer?

i dont think there should be genres.. it should be a few colums like... Most liked, Most played, Least liked, Least played... things like that..... but some new rock songs would make me very happy...
