    Re: New Songs! Coming?

For some perspective, potasium, we only received 2 submissions between September 2017 and November 2017.

The list of accepted songs currently in queue is public: https://dossar.me/bse/songs/ (46 as of the last BSE update).

If we began releasing just 4 songs per week, we would empty the queue in < 3 months, and have nothing left for an Official Tournament or future releases.

cause 2 ever 2 weeks is strict
I only have so much patience. Files do not go through this "webmaster" that you're speaking of. Stop assuming knowledge of the system. I'll clarify this as specifically as possible one time, and one time only. Your basic knowledge of c-panel, FTP, and pseudo-expertise of other basic management systems of websites does not apply to the process of content management on FFR.

Files are handled through the Game Management team. These are files that FFR users submit via e-mail (for now, the batch submission system being used for the official tournament is in an inaugural term but working quite well) that the Game Management team has access to. It is distributed to judges for quality checking. Notes are distributed for changes requested to the content, and users resend their content to ensure it is the highest quality (or, just left to wait until release if the quality is good enough). This process occurs every two months. Meanwhile, files are released every two weeks. As mentioned before, file judgments happen at a rate that is four to six times slower than the release of files themselves, as the batch runs in two-month cycles.

There is a system that the GM team uses to push the file to the game itself, as well as supply all of the information about the song as necessary. Files are not stored on the website prior to their release, they are pulled from the e-mails sent by the users with their most updated releases. This is something that you would know about having read the Rules/Submission Guidelines thread of the Batch Forum.

        EDIT:

How do i play them ?
You don't. Files marked as "accepted" are not in game yet and will be released by the Game Management team when they see fit. Files marked as "Released" are already in the game for you to play. Files with other status either require further work by content creators or have been rejected and have to go through the process anew.

          Re: New Songs! Coming?

An official tournament needs ~65 songs

There aren't even that many queued, in total, right now.
So tell us again how many songs we should be releasing every week.

I would like to point out that this system currently in place has been in place for quite a while, with the process of file submitting and the judging and the current number of files in the queue and the holding of files for tournaments all being public knowledge. So being a long time member of the community, this should already be known information. And if not, you've got somebody knowledgeable in how the site is run politely telling you stuff that is already able to be seen by looking around, probably shouldn't be posting like a dick back to them.

You wait until there's ANOTHER 20+ songs, and then there's an official tournament. Like...there aren't even enough there to do a tournament and you want them all released now.

                  Re: New Songs! Coming?

potasium: you have received the answer to your question by various users and staff that have not only explained and reiterated multiple times over but also have offered you information and resources about the process. Additionally, you were also handed information regarding the process of content creation so that you could attempt to create content that is more suitable for the desired difficulty levels that your initial post addresses.

This thread has culminated in you being borderline insulting to staff members and users who have given you the time to help out, as well as making egregiously incorrect statements about how the process of file storage/submission works, and it's getting old and annoying.

Read the posts in this thread that provide you information; as mentioned in this thread before, this is the system that has been done on the site for a while now. I can assure you that the information being provided is correct as one of the Game Managers on the site.
