what did you have in mind? i wasn't aware we needed anything more than a place to meet up that had an internet connection. if we continue with the december 29th date, it would be too cold to really do anything that involved leaving the space.Back to "Back to Earth"

Well now, as I have a moment to look over this again... I'm completely against something from the 29th (Dec.) and on only because I'll be on vacation. But I'll still help if that's when the majority wants to do this. I was thinking someplace like Dave and Busters in Chicago, I believe its 2 blocks south of the Clark/Division stop on the CTA Red line (this based off my bad memory) Or there are a few other arcades. That is only one place in the city that I know of, but there are a lot more of which I have been told are slightly better. Or, if you wanted to venture out into the suburbs, Gameworks in Schamburg is a great place to go. Its right across the street from Woodfield Mall and right next to a Loews Movie Theater. But that's about as far as I got. I'm not sure of prices or depending on how many people we can confirm to be there, discounts. Dates would need to be planned ahead of time. I don't know. I'm willing to help, but I don't want to say "Were going here. Doing this, this, and this. And you're going to like it." I'd rather everyone contribute a little.

I was actually thinking about gameworks too. I believe its like $20 for 3 hours per person but im sure if i talk to them and tell them we have a bunch of people coming they would discount us in some way. It would help alot too if we had a rough estimate of how many people would be going to. I also belive there is a bus that can take you out to woodfield mall.359 AAA's(public) so far and counting

Gameworks would be a great place to have this. They have a bar and grill, and you can get party discounts. Not sure what the limit is on that, but it's a hell of a lot cheaper than buying individually.
You can also rent out the entire place overnight, I have no clue how much that is though. My school did it for the post-prom party last year.

Dave and Buster's is pretty lame, but if y'all want to do that I won't argue. And if we meet somewhere like D&B's or gameworks I won't have to pry with the NU alumni association to get a room which would be nice.
@Psycho - Would 1/5/08 be better? I think rebirth said he couldn't come then, though. I figured on choosing between those two days because they're during vacation for most people so more could come and it's on saturday.
I'll take the lead on setting this up if we need someone to, let's just decide on a time and place. I vote for 12/29/07 at Gameworks at sometime in the afternoon to allow for transportation. I can drive anyone from southern wisconsin or northern illinois if they need a ride.Back to "Back to Earth"

Ehhh... I'm gone from the 29th till like the 6th or 7th or whatever... So, like I said, just plan your thing and if it doesn't work for me then it doesn't work. You don't need to change your plans for one person if it affects a lot more people, even if I would like that

I work at Brunswick Zone Romeoville. If it comes down to it, I could probably get us a party room for no cost. We have an ITG 2 and DDR supernova, and internet connections in the party rooms. It would have to be sometime during the week since most weekends are booked for birthday parties.
