That'd be pretty neat jx but then wouldn't the judges / other sim artists have a horrifying lead on common people on the site due to the fact they can recognize styles way easier?

I disagree entirely and think, if anything, it makes FFR more well-rounded and serves as a fun diversion from the usual. AAA-fest is old hat. How about get a score which corresponds to the day/month in your goods/averages, the rest perfects, no misses, and no boos?

If you want a deviance take up learning a new style. It's much more rewarding and when you decide you want to aaa fest again it actually has a use.

I've learned multiple ways to play and I still dabble in them from time to time.

My issue with it is that it teaches and encourages nasty habits. It's not that it's not difficult or it's own "skill" (I sadly don't agree with calling it a skill in my opinion because I've deemed it a waste.)

Take for example:

One handing gives you stamina in that hand in particular, and allows you to learn more biased patterns. You can directly move this by simply dropping a finger from one hand and putting that burden on the left. It's a really good talent.

Indexing gives you a lot of speed because if you don't react fast you're gonna goof up a shit ton more. Compared to one handing though, most people can get to AAAing 9s or so (old scale and old charts.) The speed of reaction can save you in tight spots such as sight reading a huge 32nd wall you weren't expecting at all and just instantly doing it.

Split much like one handing teaches one handed patterns and give stamina to the "dominate" hand.

Antipa just gives you a good understanding of the timing window, which you can honestly get by doing the multiple styles. You honestly don't gain anything from it other than a bad score, or some respect from select people.

Just kind of how I think of it. It's not a hate fest or anything but I've personally been unable to come up with a reason to bother with it. Messing up just isn't fun to me.

Double credit MP
Why not just make MP always give 2x credz so it will vastly encourage gameplay and mulitplayer activity
just think about all those people complaining about not having enough credz, now they can shut up and earn them twice as fast.

OR, make it so you and your opponent obtain total credz.
ex:
Frank Munoz gets 60 cred.
Hakulyte gets 45 cred.

we both get 105 cred.

This could widen the range of mp battles since some people don't wanna vs high tier players and lose all the time; they can atleast gain creds for their bravery

I'll plan piano mini batch of elegance then.

Another simfile related event idea (other than sim contest), we can do a similar thing with mystery packs as an event, we can give prizes to people who get "first X correct guesses out of Y files" (X = from 1 to Y).

I'm sorry I'm not sure I have this right with the first X correct guesses out of Y files. Are they guessing simfile author?

There should be a contest of the best reaction video to an amazing or hilarious score on an FFR song, whether it be an AAA and getting Oni, or getting a blackflag on Piano Etude (Demon Fire) [Heavy]. In fact, it doesn't have to be any song, it could be a certain song, and the reactions in videos submitted could be a variety of things: blackflags, missflags, AAA's (yes oh my gosh), playing too many times, giving up, smashing keyboard.

You guys could make it a specific song event on a new song released on a new week (get rid of that queue!), or you could choose to have it non song restricted.

Anyway make sure you put in some basic rules though, like make sure it's somewhat appropriate.

Just wondering, because I could make hilarious FFR videos of me raging.

Sounds like forced reactions to get prizes. I prefer reactions that come straight from the heart vs. people who would turn on their camera to fake an over exaggerated reaction in order to win a contest. Interesting idea, but I don't think i'd go for that. =)

also, a special batch that caters to either the classical, rock, or hip-hop genre would be awesome since FFR is lacking in those genres.
