Yes, if they hit more arrows, but with a bad MA, it means they're faster than you, but you're more precise than both. A skill tie, I think, since they have speed, but you have MA. Both are important in stepmanierz

yea, luke, that basically means i'm faster but you have better MA. i would say that as an overall player you are better though because while i may be slightly faster you have much better timing and are also a lot better at jacks.

and about the tourney, if possible we should have different categories (like timing/speed/jacking/overall best) and maybe different levels or something so everyone can compete but things don't end up horribly lopsided.

Seriously, not only a speed contest. A SM toruney, like ODI did last year, and iirc Kommisar was organizing. We have a consistent SM community here, and like Midare said in the last pages, it's the only one that's still active. So a SM tourney here would be a great idea imho

I personally don't like the categories thing, a overall tourney would be better. Categories would "help" some players, like Midare, Neko and Tera at timing, and Sakish, Staiain and even you (@ kaiten) at speed. An unique overall best category seems a little more "fair", because every gameplay skill will be tested, not only the one you're better at. But divisions, yes, this is a good idea.

If you compare yourself to others "friendly", like you did, you're not being an ass, you're just looking for some comparison parameter to improve your gameplay. There's no problem in it imo
