“The brain doesn’t like ambiguous situations,” Camerer said to me. “When it can’t figure out what is happening, the amygdala transmits fear to the orbitofrontal cortex.”

The results of the experiment (one where people were given MRIs while asked if they'd like to gamble 50/50 on either winning $150 or losing $100) suggested that when people are confronted with ambiguity their emotions can overpower their reasoning, leading them to reject risky propositions.


I'm going to pre med and medical school, and I was fearing of failure but I'm saying if you ultimately really want to do something. Ignore your emotions and do it regardless of your fear of the outcome.

Why Can't we combine these two very different laws of science?: That of General Relativity and Quantum Mechanics both are Laws of the Universe. Both apply on Earth?

In Quantum Mathematics I'm learning about this revelation Einstein gave us all. Basically. Time is not a fixed construct. As an object moves near or at Light Speed it slows down time. So if a person in a space ship traveled at Light Speed for 5 minutes.. 100 years or So would have passed on earth moving at a normal rate! someday we can slow down the ageing proccess!
