A rare thought about FFR

Today I started giving a little more than a slight shit about my stats and played a bunch of songs that I didn't already know. Slowly, I've cleared through all the songs I was ranked below 100,000 on, and played the few that were between 85k and 100k. At first, I was gonna clear everything below 50k (which is... a handful), but right now I'm tired af and want to sleep for a few hours before I wake up again for the WORLD MOTHERFUCKIN' SERIESSSSSSSSSS, thank christ i don't work tonight.

truth be told, i probably could've finished, but instead i spent like a half-hour with the visuals. i couldn't get myself to tolerate any of the arrows besides the originals, but LOOK! MY COLORS ARE PRETTY!

i'm lame

Anyway... problem that I keep having with FFR is that I'm always lagging. Always lagging just enough to make me hit a Good when it should be Perfect. And it really pisses me off. Even worse is when I lag so hard for a few seconds that I actually miss completely, such as this massive waste of time.


A lot of the songs I had to play were in the Rock genre, 'cuz I reeaaaaallly never felt like playing beginner songs over 2 minutes. Actually, I still don't. But this time I was obligated. I think I AAA'd one of them. Wow.


And remember... most of these songs are below 15 in difficulty. Definitely in my range. But NOPE. Internet has other plans. I sorta tried Velocity for a little, but didn't do anything for me. If anything, I actually played worse. Was getting like twice as many goods as perfects. ?__?

Yeah, idk. If anyone reading this has suggestions on how to remedy this atrocity, that'd be splendid. If not, maybe I just won't get fully into this game, since I can't be the best I could possibly be. (weeps)
