the bible says anyone that hasnt accepted christ will not go to heaven.. so you mean to tell me that the billions of muslims and hindus and jews and buddhists and heathens are all going to hell?

why does god slaughter entire races of people and bolt them with lightning in the old testament and then change to "turn the other cheek" and be all nice in the new testament. He matured over a few thousand years or what? Surely this can seem a bit beligerant and patronizing but they are legitimate questions.. if anyone has anything insightful to say let me know :)
