Whiners

I frequent MP. I play it more than I ever do single. I'll sit in a room when it's late at night and there are hardly any decent players on, and wait for someone to finish pwning this poor noob so I can have a chance at them.

Noob: omg i suck lol
Pwner: nah man, you did real good

So the noob leaves and I enter, and I'm not so conceited that I think I'll win. I usually throw out a "you'll probably pwn me" statement as our customary opening pleasantry before the song. And then we play.

They mess up. They fail on purpose.

Me: Um
Sore loser: omg, lag!! ho lowering quality

We play the song once more. They mess up again, but this time they finish the song.

Me: gg
Whiner: ...i think i should just quit
Me: Why?
Whiner: cuz i suck, ive been playing for [insert overexaggerated number] years and i havent gotten any better, i just fail at life and i think ill go home and cut myself because all life is meaningless when i mess up on ffr. no one loves me because i suck at ffr, my family beats me because i suck at ffr, god picks on me because i suck at ffr, my finger flips me off at night because i suck at ffr, my entire being revolves around this internet game and i think ill just stop living because i fucked up at ffr. i dont even care that this game is supposed to be for fun, it stopped being fun [insert overexaggerated number] years ago. it became my goddamned way of life, and its only fun when my way of life pwns nubs and boosts my mp

So yeah, I basically stay in the same MP room when I play. Most of my friends know it's called "Rawr?".

At the time I made it, I had no idea it was so generic. I mean, now when you glance through the list of rooms there is varying version of Rawr type rooms. Mine is, I'm glad to say, the only one with a question mark in it so it's usually easy to find.

But I didn't make it to sound generic. I was sitting there for a split second rolling all sorts of titles through my mind. Flipping through the phone book of my mind, you could say.

I didn't want to sound conceited, but I didn't want to sound like I sucked and attract a lot of newbs (though I still attract a lot of newbs; they should post up an FAQ of some sort that you have to read before starting MP that describes how you can see the person who made the room's MP level). Therefore, I just randomly typed Rawr (which I'm sure is how those other rooms came up as well) and added a question mark.

The question mark was supposed to be symbolic by leaving the decision of my skill up to whomever plays me. It is a question, but more of a rhetorical one. And yet people always come in the room screaming, "RAAAAAAAAWWWWRRRRRRRRRRRR!" like I've begun some sort of initiation to becoming king of the jungle, and they're subtley reminding me that this jungle already has a king, bitch.
