Is this a big deal? It is to me!

Today I finally got my average rank below 10k! No longer must I be plagued by such a mediocre 5 digit measurement!

I also recently got over 1 billion total score, which just makes me feel like a no-lifer.. Which essentially is what this means. I've played about half of all of the songs in this game, so after hitting the "random" button about 500 times, I think I've made something of myself.

And if you happen to believe that most of the people that have accounts here actually play the game long enough to get a valid measurement of skill, then I would be in the top 1% in the world... Which is most definitely not the case...

Looking at some of the level stats, I'd guess I'm around the top 10% of skill... Now that I think about it, what in the world does average rank measure?!

Regardless... After two years on this site, I've taken today to think about my abilities. I never post on the forums, I never chat with community members, but today I freaking accomplished something.

Next I've gotta play the rest of the songs on here, so that the data will be complete! ... Or, like, somebody could tell me a better way to measure my skill!

   Average rank is your ranking on every single song added up, and then averaged. If you haven't played a song you will be ranked based off of how many different accounts have played that song. When you play a song you get a score and the higher your score then the higher the rank respectively. If you check out your level ranks it displays your score and rank on each song.

   My gaming philosophy requires me to seek out a valid way for me to compare myself to the community... I see what the average rank IS, but I'm not satisfied by it. I'm sure there have been many wars fought over this topic, so I'm content to avoid complaining. :D
