Tournament thoughts.

I really don't know why I'm typing this. Nobody is actually going to read it. I guess that is the exact reason I'm typing it, BECAUSE nobody will read it.

Lately I have been wondering if I actually have a shot in this tournament. I was the fifth or fourth one (in D1 of course) to AAA the first round song. Which makes me feel good, that I was able to AAA a level 5 (JUST AAA'ED MY FIRST TRICKY SONG TODAY! SO HAPPY! Everybody has to start somewhere eh?)

But.. Then another 14 people or so AAA'ed it, so we are up to 19 now, I believe.

It took me around a whopping 200 tries to AAA the song (Autofail 1 good). If only me and 4 other participants AAA'ed it I would feel confident.. But now that I see how many people (Plus the ones slacking off and not putting forth their best scores with confidence they will move on anyway) can actually pull off an AAA just like me.. It's almost like I feel that I can't make it anymore..

There is no longer that, "I have an AAA with 4 other people, so these 4 other people are going to be the ones I fight for the top position for", false hope. I guess I let my imagination run a little wild in thinking that I could win..

Still, I'm going to give it my all every round. I have been sick and out of school lately (Although I should be going back soon) but none the less a week for each song school or not is a LONG time.

So if anybody does read this.. What do you think? Do I have a chance to make it in at least the top 10? Top 8? Top 3? 1st?

Just a little side note I ALMOST AAA'ed that doctor mario song, the one rated difficult. With 1 good autofail I got to that very last spurt of arrows and screwed it up :P Then gave up. Pretty happy I did as good as I did considering I just AAA'ed my first tricky today also. I said that like 18 times already, just so proud.

   I read it! :) I know what you mean about the first song! I was using auto fail on one good as well, and then I ended up getting rid of it, increased my speed mod, and finally got the AAA. I found the second song a lot easier though.
   And hey, no need to be so down about the other participants AAA'ing too. It should be encouraging you to try to get better. :) Also, you've AAA'd both songs now, so that shows something right? I think you could definitely be in the top 10/8! Or maybe even win it. ;)

   Haha I'm glad I know somebody feels the same way! I found the second one a lot easier as well. I think I will end up AAA'ing up to the next one if I give it my all. I was actually going to comment on your page earlier because I stalked your page after seeing I was the second one to AAA only behind you haha!
   Was gonna ask if you would be my rival throughout the tournament! Provide an extra edge for me to push myself and grab that AAA!
   Judging by your stats, replays, and scores you are pretty damn good. One of the best in the division I would say.
   All of my stats are a bit.. premature so I can't really tell where I stand yet (Member for what, .08 years?) But I have a feeling us two may end up in the top 10 at least.

   I'm just hoping the next songs aren't awkward. I found the Tightrope song awkward, which is why I had to play it so many times to AAA. HAHA! "I stalked your page" that made me laugh. XD You watched my replays? How embarrassing! On songs that are level 9+ I do a fair bit of button mashing cos there's always random bursts or a million notes flying out. Haha. You're doing really well for only being on here for a short amount of time. I've only just started playing seriously for the past year. XD

   I think you have a chance. You AAA Dr. Mario, which is good too. I AAA the first round and sitting with a BF in round 2, but just like you, doing my best. Looking forward to seeing you in the later rounds.

   You too, most definitely :D! I really hope we all manage to make it to the final round, that would be great. Definitely not looking forward to when my score needs to beat yours on that level 9 coming up. Nervewracking
