don't have any new pages of my original story yet ^^' but, I did recently feel inspired to write this. So this will be here until I write those next pages for my story. Which I seriously need to do... *goes to write more*

-------------

A little bird flaps her wings, but they do not move, for they are chained to the ground. She is young, prone to dangers. Her parents hover barely above the ground, protecting her. At times she wonders if that is as high as they can go. Once they soared high in the sky, but have they been hovering low for so long, that they have forgotten how to soar? She does not care to soar. She only wishes she could leap, at least a few inches off the ground! But she does not know how. She does no learn, for such a thing seems to be untaught by others. They all scream, 'Do it yourself! Do it by your own power!' Can they not help her? They are so near, and they seem already to have flown. But she remains chained, wondering how they ever did it. She blinks in the dark, her enemies are hidden. At times, she is attacked without the knowledge of her dear parents. She does not know how to fight them off. She feels helpless; hopeless.
Then, from the darkness appears a light; a lamp, flame burning brightly inside. It pierces the darkness, and the little bird is blinded, but only for a moment. She blinks once, to see a figure standing in front of her, holding the lamp. From the figure, she hears the words,
"Faith, little bird. Have faith."
"What should my faith lie in? My parents no longer soar. Others ignore my pleas. I am chained to the ground, unable to move, and am helpless when I am attacked. What is there, any longer, to have faith in?" She asks.
"Have faith in the light that pierces the dark." The figure replies. The figure then turns, and walks away. However, he leaves the lamp, still burning brightly. Suddenly, the door of the lamp opens, and the flame dances out. It flits around, like a fairy. She watches as it flies higher and higher, till she must crane her neck to see it.
"No! Do not leave me! Do not keep me in the dark!" She shouts.
"Follow." A voice comes, seemingly from the light.
"How can I follow? I am chained to the ground!" She says.
"Break the chains." Is the simple reply.
"I am weak, I am incapable of doing such an amazing thing!" She says.
"You always had the strength. Those chains are but twine." The flame says. She does not understand. These chains are hardly twine! Such a frail creature as herself could never break them!
"I cannot do it! The strength you speak of is lacking in me! Can you not help me?" Cries the little bird.
"Strength is not important. If any battle is to be won, faith must be had!" The flame says.
"I cannot do it! No amount of faith will break these chains!" She screams, her frustration rising. But she is more desperate than frustrated. She only wants to be free!
"Faith!" The flame persists. The little bird becomes silent, feeling more desperate by the second.
"Follow!" The flame shouts, "Have faith! Fly! Follow!" The flame flits about. Suddenly the flame flies off, darkness again enveloping the place.
"No! Come back!" She cries out. The enemies begin to crawl toward her, feeling once again safe to attack in the darkness. She hears them coming, and cries out to the flame to come back and protect her. From the distance comes the voice of the flame.
"Faith! Flight! Follow!" It screams. It seems just as frightened for her as she is for herself. The enemies crawl ever closer, chuckling excitedly. They are quite hungry. In fear, the little bird flaps her wings madly, trying hard to break the chains.
"Come back! Take me with you!" She cries to the flame. This time, there is no answer. She is alone. No! she does not wish to be alone. She has been alone for far too long. She wants to follow the flame. The only thing protecting her from her enemies. She flaps her wings harder and harder. She realizes the only chance she has of finding that light again will be to break her chains and fly.
"I have to fly! I have to! So many have done it before me, right? I can do it too!" She shouts to herself. She flaps harder and harder.
"The light will not come back, so I must follow it! I want the light! I must find it! I must find the light!" She screams, and with one, final, desperate attempt, she flaps hard, and the chains shatter. She continues to flap, and finds herself rising from the ground. The enemies roar and swat at her, trying to keep her on the ground. One grabs her leg and she begins to fall again, her untrained wings still too weak to handle such force.
"Help me! Come back to me, light!" She cries out. A moment later, she sees the light come out from behind a tree. It had never once left her! All along, she had not seen it, and she believed it had gone! But all along, it was just hidden, for she could not move to where she could see it.
"Fly!" It shouts, growing brighter, "Have faith and fly!" This time, rather than object to it's commands, she flaps as hard as she can. Soon enough, she manages to right herself and begins to rise in the air again. Another enemy grabs her leg, but this time, the light comes to her. It fights off the enemy, throwing it back to the ground. She flaps more, and finally rises, high in the sky. The flame flies off, going higher and farther.
"Are you leaving me?" She asks, suddenly afraid to lose her new friend.
"Follow!" It says. Now she understands. Faith, flying, and following, are all tied together. To have faith means to follow. To follow, one must fly. One must have faith to fly. It all starts with faith. To begin with, she had had faith in no one. For her faith in anyone often led to her own destruction. However, her faith in the light, had saved her, and now she was free from her chains, and able to fly wherever she wanted. She was free. And now, she would follow faithfully behind her new friend, always sure to stay close.
She flaps her newly freed wings, following close behind the flame. The flame flies off, going faster and faster, and she tries hard to keep up with it. Several times, she feels to tired to go on, that she must go back to the ground and rest her wings. But the flame flies on, untiring, unslowing. So she keeps going, unwilling to give up on her friend so soon. As she flies after the flame, it continuously grows, brighter and brighter. She sees the light enveloping the world as they fly over it together. She looks down at the scenery. So beautiful! From the ground, the world had always seemed to dreary, dark, and ugly. But from the sky, she sees it's true beauty. She lets out a laugh, so excited by this new view. The flame brightens even more. So much more, that she can see all the other birds, chained to the ground. Chained? How odd, she was sure they had always been free and flying! But in truth, they can only hover, a few inches off the ground. They are chained, just as she always had been. She sees it all now, she sees the truth. The darkness often hid their chains, but in the light, the truth is revealed. They are just as helpless as she had been! She recalls their refusal to help her, now realizing why they had so often done so. It was not only that they did not want to help her, but it was that they couldn't! She now understands why the only one who could help her was the flame. The flame was the only one not chained down!
Many of the chained birds look up, seeing the sudden, strange burst of light. They see the little bird, and the flame, flying along; free. Many of them cry out, asking them how they got up there, crying for help. The flame burns brighter.
"Have faith! Fly! Follow!" It shouts. It repeats itself over and over, shouting over the cries. After a long while, several of the chained birds break free, and come flying toward them. They come and fly alongside the little bird, following the light. A few fall away, going back down to rest. Some come back, but others do not. More and more birds break free and come to the light, however, many remain on the ground, still chained. They cry out, screaming that no one will help them, when in truth, it is their lack of faith that does not allow them flight. She is both filled with joy and sadness. Joyful for the newly freed birds around her. Sad for the ones that break away and do not return, and those that do not even manage to break their chains. But no matter what, she follows the light.
Finally, they make it all the way around the world, and she sees her familiar old home. Oh how she wishes to return, and see her family again! The flame comes to her.
"You may return home, for you have proven your faith! Now you must always remember, that I am always with you. And though, at times you may not see me, I am always there! Never forget me, dear one." The flame says. She then departs from the flock, returning to her home.
"I could never forget you!" She says as she departs. Many of her old friends, and her family crowd around, coming to see her. Her old enemies are nowhere to be found. The crowd backs off a little to leave room as the little bird lands. But she is a little bird no more! Her wings now span the forest that is her home, her body is imense, and her beauty unmatched! The light from the flame reflects off of her bright feathers, bringing light to the entire forest. The others are dazzled and amazed. For a moment, they do not recognize her, for she is no longer the helpless, little, chained bird that she once was. She is now a beautiful, powerful bird, free from her chains. Her faith has strengthened her wings, her faith has freed her, and her show of faith has brought others to their freedom! She can truly be considered a hero, for although faith may seem a small thing, it is the most difficult thing in the world, and also the most powerful! It changes lives, whether for the better, or the worse. The choice of whether it will be better or worse is the individual's, but the show of faith from others, will lead each to understand the truth about what is better and what is worse. Let us just hope that each choice will be the one that leads to freedom.

Stab me in the chest. Take my fragile heart. Throw it to the ground, and watch it shatter. Take a hammer to the pieces. Incinerate what's left till it's nothing but ash. Take a fan and watch it scatter in the wind. I don't mind, go ahead.

Because I know my friends would travel to the farthest reaches of the planet to gather each and every missing piece. They usually don't even have to go that far. They're there to sheild the ash from blowing away. To put out the flames before they begin. To stop the hammer in its' tracks. To catch my falling heart. And sometimes, they even manage to sheild it from the fatal wound that started it all..... And knowing these things in itself, is healing for my wounds.

I love my friends.

the whole time... I loved you, but as a brother. even so, I never told you what was really on my mind. I was too busy trying not to hurt you, I ended up hurting you even more! I never wanted this to happen, I hope someday you can forgive me, and if you never do, well I deserve it. I was an idiot. It's okay if you hate me now, I was stupid. I'm sorry Dark Prince6969

Been waiting for God to send me someone... Finally stopped trying to look for them, and just patiently wait for God's time... well someone fell in love with me.... And for once, I think I return his feelings. I may never be able to date him, so long as we've never met, but just knowing him is enough. Anyone else to fall in love with me would be wasting their time 1) because I can't date them anyway 2) because my heart will go only to the one, and I know it's corny, but I will wait until I really feel I've found the right person 3) because I have a feeling I've already found the right person <3 this simply to tell people to back off, read this before you say you like me, I don't feel like breaking any more hearts, seeing as I've already managed to break a few :(

and to those who're curious about the person I like... it's RASUNA ^-^
