Roll Pattern

I play one hand, three fingers, and often have trouble hitting a left, down, up, right (LDUR) roll at high speeds. The reverse pattern (RUDL) is somewhat easier because I can slide my middle finger down from U to D much easier than I can push it up from D to U. Sure, sliding fingers isn't the best method, but at my skill level, I get by with it. Can anyone give me a tip on how to hit the LDUR roll?
