FIx in Arcade Song #5
Ok, time to clear those caches and reload again. Arcade Song #5 has been fixed. Sorry that it took me an extra night to get around to it. The changes make the song so much better.
Btw.. That secret level.. it’s back.. but where?
Hmmmmmmm…
Chock Full of Goodness
Well, we seem to be spouting a new song everyday here at FFR. Our latest piece is a #5 song inside the arcade section that was submitted by EnderTheXenocide. It is a Final Fantasy Battle theme and well, again…. well beyond me personally. Thanks a bunch for submitting the song and we look forward to putting up the other submissions as soon as possible.
Now go play so you can lose!
(ok, its not THAT bad.. Nothing like the Chrono Trigger song)
The song is on beat but I may need to slide the timing forward or backward to make it match perfectly, leave your comments about which way you think the timing should slide.
Bed Time Story
I know that most of you move in, play the game and then move on. That is cool if that is your thing but if you have any suggestions or questions or just general feedback about FFR, be sure to stop in at the “FFR Discussion Forum” via the link on the left nav bar.
The discussion forum is growing daily and I try to answer as many questions as possible while implementing suggestions as often as time allows.
Think of this as a chance to help guide FFR.
The Many Faces of FFR
Well.. Tonight marks 100,000 Plays of FFR and within 2 days will cross the 1,000,000 hit threshold. I know I have said it before but I really cannot believe the turnout that this site has had. Nothing makes me more happy than to know that people enjoy the game and come back to play it.
We will continue to develop our baby of an engine and move in some wild directions with it. I have a little feature list that I would like to implement into the next major version of the game. I don’t know if we can accomplish half of what is on the list but we will try.
Again, thanks for all the support and stopping by to visit. Thanks also for the songs/steps that everyone has been creating lately, I will work to incorporate them into FFR as soon as time allows.
See you tomorrow,
Synthlight
Ba-Da-Ba-Da-Ba-Da
Time to clear that cache and reload again! Another song has been put up in the arcade section (#4). The Super Mario theme remixed by Injury. It is… Oh so eighties.
Note: This level is EXTREMELY easy. If you are new to this site, this should be one of the first levels you play. Not only is it easy for newcomers but also easy on the CPU.
Hope you enjoy.
OH MY DEAR LORD BABY LAMBS AND JESUS AND BEDS OF HAY
Yes, you guessed it…..
Hyrogashi has submitted song #3 to the arcade section. (oh no, where did the secret song go?) This song is complete madness and you will learn to curse it.. Keep the faith though, #4 song is promised to be easy and fun.
NOTE: Don’t forget to CLEAR your CACHE and then refresh.
I must warn all people new to this site and DDR in general that this level is geared towards people who have insane abilities 8X greater than myself. I am not joking about the difficulty of this level. I don’t think I last more than 10 seconds. Just insane.
All will be punished by the Hyrogashi Chrono Trigger theme.
All…On the flip side, I made him promise a level so easy that even a non-DDR person would have fun with it. We can expect that song hopefully by tomorrow.
If anyone else is interested let me know. We have a Dance #2 section comming up next so prepare your music and steps.
Cheers,
Synthlight
Starting Fresh
Call it fate… Tonight I was getting ready to upload the next song and I accidentally deleted the scores for the first dance song. Unfortunately, I cannot recover this file. Look on the bright side though:
NOW IS YOUR CHANCE TO GET ON THE HI-SCORE LIST!!!
Enjoy my mistake, it won’t happen often
NEW FFR SONG #2 IN ARCADE SECTION
At long last there is a new song in the arcade section. I apologize for the amount of time it took between arcade song #1 and #2. Between life, sickness, and building this new site by myself I have been pretty busy.
Anyway, the new beat arrows are not a creation of mine but of one of our top ranking players Nestlekwik. (thanks for permission to use them). The song itself is a remix of Megaman from C. Stewart. I think you will find it very challenging compared to other songs in FFR.
NOTE: FIXED SLOWDOWN PROBLEM, CHECKING TO SEE IF STEPS ARE TRUE TO ORIGINAL.
NOTE: THIS SONG IS CPU INTENSIVE PEOPLE BELOW A P4 WILL MOST LIKELY WANT QUALITY LEVEL 1. THIS IS DUE TO THE VIDEO BACKGROUND I AM TESTING. (don’t forget I am picky about framerate and always wanting 30fps)
Read further for important notes about this song.
* This level was converted with my DWI to FFR converter and no hand tweaking was used. If you find any siginifcant problems with the beats, please leave a message for discussion.
* Nestlekwik, I had to take out the freeze arrows because the FFR engine cannot handle them yet. Very sorry, I will include them once the FFR is freeze capable.
* The level includes a looping video background that I created. This feature is a test and requires a hefty CPU at this time to play back the video unless you are in Quality mode 1
In much shame, I have not completed this level yet. I think you will find it harder than anything you have seen at FFR yet. You have been warned!
Thanks again to Nestlekwik for letting me use his steps.
NOTE: If ANYONE is interested in having their DWI+Mp3 files used on FFR please contact me. This is a good op to let people enjoy your creations (nearly a couple thousand plays a day) and at the same time see your song/steps in an entirely new type of simulator. The only restriction would be Freeze arrows. Please, only non DDR songs at this time.
Regards,
Synthlight
What would YOU like?
When you come to Xqsite.com would you like to see the most current news and notes (what you are viewing now) or would you like to be sent directly to the game?
I thought of making this a poll item but thought we could get more information and reason as to the thoughts of others out of reading/replying to the comments.
Please voice your opinion, it will count.
Cheers,
Synthlight
