o A few things to apologise for…

First things first,

Secondly, I have to apologise to you all. I know quite alot of you have been expecting rock songs for some time now and because I havent gotten around to resampling them for synth, you do not have them – whether or no you’d of thought anything other than ‘shit, these suck!’ when you played on them is another matter entirely. Furthermore, as all the songs I have created are copyrighted songs, just edited – I dont know wether Ive made things more or less illegal – heeheehee. So dont expect to see them anytime this week, but I’ll get them sent out eventually. Perhaps if you want to see my songs (3 rock, one classical and one arcade) send me some nasty emails or PM’s (and by nasty emails i mean text only abuse, under 5k. Not the worm type of evil email that means you’ll never get the songs.

Furthermore, I want to tell you all not to blame synth for lack of updates as I’ve recently found out what its like not to have the time, being stuck away from my computer for a week now – with no sign of me getting back to it – especially with my finals and college applications, not to mention the prom – all lurking around the corner

Rock’em Sock’em Fix’em

Made some really minor adjustments to FFR this morning. I changed the look of the arrows when they are hit correctly (purple tint). I also fixed a bug in the scoring which allow people to enter their name multiple times if they had a hi-score. You may have noticed someone with the same score 10 or so times. This was due to this hi-score but and has been fixed now. I did not bump it up a revision because the changes were not great enough. It remains at .44

*EDIT* Minor bug caused scoring issue because of above fix. All is fixed…. Clear your cache and away you go.

I would like to thank FFR for all the cool things you have done for your site and all the new things you keep adding. Since FFR ive been able to play a FREE game for hours at a time!I cant wait untill you put some new songs up, especially ROCK songs. Keep up the gret work

Resetting hi-scores so people can accomplish top 50 spots in the songs over the holiday break.

Get your FFR gear!!! And help out with the servers!

As you can see on the Module on the left, Synthlight has added an online FFR store, where you can buy several FFR-related goodies: T-shirts, mousepads, stockings for the Christmas holiday, ski caps, and even (dare I say) underwear! Money goes directly to the servers, since Synthlight pays for them…you can say, he pays for OUR entertainment. So thank Synthlight and help out the servers by purchasing your FFR gear…not available in stores…yet. =)

DOWN ME SLOW GONNA NOTHING AIN’T – makes sense

I have put up a secondary server that has a great deal of bandwidth on it. You should find this secondary server very fast. Please only use it when the original server is so very slow.

Only 1 stipulation…. You need to register as a member to use this secondary server. After you register, there will be a link on the lefthand side for “Play FFR Online! Srv. #2″. I am making people register so that it does not get abused with traffic.

Also, if you wish to link to xqsite. Please don’t link to the secondary server as I will be changing the URL often. Please only link to http://www.xqsite.com.

*EDIT* For now there is no registration needed to play on the second server. It is open to anyone.

Ain’t Nothing Gonna Slow Me Down

I have noticed a huge increase in the people playing FFR tonight. Please excuse the slow load times. I am working very hard to bring another FFR server online to make things a little quicker. It should be active by sometime late tonight.

Wanna Get Serious?

Lately in the forums there has been discussion about certain FFR clans forming. I think this is a great idea and I would like to see what I can do to help foster this idea. Some of my ideas are as follows, please add comments if you wish.

1. I could host clan websites for no charge. You make the pages and I provide the hosting?

2. Tournaments could be held for both status and for prizes?

3. Additional high-bandwidth servers for clans to practice FFR on?

4. I would need people with experience to help organize and plan online events for this tourneys
So what do you think? Good idea? I think it is a fantastic idea. Would need a few people who had the time to dedicate to such a thing but I think it would definately be worth our time.

For Little Ol’ Me?

A new song is up tonight in the Dance #2 section. This is a special night *tear* because this marks the first song that was ever mixed directly for FFR. I want to thank both Nestlekwik for his creative and sometimes tricky steps in the song and DJ KANKAOH for his 2 minute addition to the FFR family. Maybe we will see more from DJ KANKAOH in the near future?

I would also like everyone to welcome Nestlekwik as our first moderator to be onboard in the FFR Discussion Forum. Nestlekwik has been a long time supporter of FFR. He also authored the “How to make a stepfile” FAQ in the FAQ section. Please stop by and say hello to him in the forums if you get the chance.
