Changelog Four

This week's changelog is a big one, and we would first like to apologize for any inactivity periods lately, this month is a bumpy one for myself and for a few of the other staff members but we are working whenever we get the chance to update.

We have finished implementing and finalizing a Store feature! There is also an In-Game Currency being implemented (Namely, Gold)! Gold is earned the following ways:

Dungeons (Shared among the party, Fixed Amount)
Quests (Earned individually, per tier of quest)
Chests (Earned when opening a chest)

Chests have undergone a change! Players who have already received and opened a chest from a quest and were awarded credits will be imbursed Gold currency for the chests they've already opened! Payouts are scheduled to take place tomorrow! For more clarification, opening a chest will award you an item and gold now.

Potions will no longer be awarded from completing quests! Instead, they are purchasable at the store for 15 gold per potion. There are two new potions for specifically two classes (Bloodthirster and Vindicator), that restore 50% of their total Resource pool. All Potions cost the same amount of gold.

Critical Chance is now applied to Luck, and removed from Strength. This change brings more diversity into character builds and also negates Melee classes from being the only type of class that can essentially have double percent Critical Chance over other classes.

Base Mana Value is set to 100 mana, with each turn giving 10 mana (This mana is refunded at the beginning of a player's turn).

We are finishing up the final inner workings of Dungeons and plan on doing a test run of a dungeon sometime soon. If there are any questions let us know (The OP is a bit outdated with the current way things are running and will undergo a heavy update shortly).

Ok, Gold value system is live & reimbursements for previous chests opened have been sent out.

When you open a chest now, you should receive a random amount of gold from the chest based on many different RNG ranges.

reimbursements for opened chests are as follows:
One Winged Angel - 93 Gold (2 chests opened)
FFR Pro 21 - 77 Gold (2 chests opened)
Portalbob340 - 75 Gold (2 chests opened)
gold stinger - 70 Gold (2 chests opened)
PhantomPuppy - 47 Gold (1 chest opened)
Deidara837 - 40 Gold (1 chest opened)
AragakiAyase - 36 Gold (1 chest opened)
2EdgedVictory - 35 Gold (1 chest opened)
Guest15937 - 35 Gold (1 chest opened)
benny58624 - 34 Gold (1 chest opened)
Trumpet63 - 33 Gold (1 chest opened)

If I missed your name and you have opened a chest before, and you think you are entitled, feel free to give a holler.

Just going to add on a couple of more changes before there is a riot in here about the massive amounts of change since there was some last minute decisions:

1. The price for potions is being bumped from 15 to 30 gold in the shop, which will most likely go up tomorrow, because gold RNG was slightly broken. (edit: is now fixed)

2. Any mana potions that you may have that don't match your character's class (Bloodthirster, Vindicator), your mana potions will be converted into their respective potions for your class.

Thought it would be a bit obvious, but you can open level ranged chests whenever. If you're level 40 and you're opening up a lvl 1-10 chest, the item inside will be level 10. (This is the kind of motion we have in place in-case anyone wants to try doing a level 10 - 15 dungeon while they're level 40, as to grind out gear where needed.)

Regardless if that's what you're worried about or not, I can guarantee that the Elite quest EXP is not going to bump you past level 10.

An earlier post stipulated that chests received while in the level 1-10 range cannot be opened once you're past level 10, only traded to other players in that level range. So I think that's where some of the confusion is coming from.

Yeah, that was miscommunication issues on our part, and I apologize for that. This is me manning up to that & taking blame for it because I'm the one in charge for the most part in the ItemDB. Shouldn't have taken a break from responsibilities over the weekend & the earlier part of this week.

We had a big huge talk today in Skype (Literally non-stop talking from 2pm EST today 'till about half an hour ago) and made sure to clear every ounce of things up, including some stuff that hasn't been released yet.

You can open the chest regardless of what level you are, the only thing that the little level marking on the chest tells of is the level of the item inside.

Again, I apologize for the miscommunication, we're making an active effort to get things like that to not happen.

If those are the only two quests you have missed, you should be at 1140 EXP (and the highest leveled players are currently at 1255 EXP) so you may have missed a quest or two.

EDIT: Yep, you missed those two quests and the Normal Quest for this week.
