Re: 7th Official FFR Tournament
sigh my oni sense is showing me some tension on this subject.
whatever funnygurl's case may be; it's up to jae(or whoever runs this tourney), to decide. But D4 seems 'reasonable' imo. for now. And.. the Oni get... I always thought that Oni was for toptoptop players like leonid and louis etc. but then I got it and that was it. I had only one 'fmo'/oni get(club) aaa for months. My second highest aaa was famouz~. up until I got "better". So, if it's only one oni get then D4 seems like the right place. But, shame on the 'placers' if the oni get was before the tourney. tsk tssssssk tsktsktsk edit: Hi bob bob~

Re: 7th Official FFR Tournament
Alright, that is enough speculation about placements. Funnygurl555 was looked at and I couldn't see any major reason to bump to D5. I know he/she has said that they only played once today to get that AAA for the tournament, but this is called 'confidence' as I can see how many plays it really took (and the results of each).
At this stage of the tournament, people have had a few weeks to play and play and play to try and get ahead of their competition. There is no rule against this, and we've all seen people in the past just run with it and boost up a decent amount in skill. Yes his/her Since 1983 bf sticks out a bit, but would that mean bumping Gold Stinger for getting 3 goods on it? tl;dr open speculation about individuals like this isn't the right thing to do, if you have a placement concern please PM me or hit me up on skype. (Kayla, when I got my pc going and loaded up skype it said you were offline, sorry) |

Re: 7th Official FFR Tournament
Wow, I never knew my scores would get this much attention.
I'm sorry to anyone who I'm upsetting, and I did play The Replicator a lot (even today) but I was not going for the AAA. Just a better score than 3-0-0-0 so I wouldn't be so nervous about the cutoff suddenly becoming really tough. I'm really not D5 material as a few others were saying here. |

Re: 7th Official FFR Tournament
So you were going for a better score than 3g, but didn't expect a AAA?

Re: 7th Official FFR Tournament
Well, yeah. I never thought I'd even be able to AAA the song in the first place. For the longest while, I couldn't even FC it. I just wanted to make it past Round 3 as that was my goal even before the tourney began.

Re: 7th Official FFR Tournament
What made you think you couldn't get the AAA on a 64 if you AAAd a 66 and bf'd 76?

My AAA on Rottel-da-Station came pretty easily after I switched to mirror and whored from there, and my Since 1983 BF was a fluke run at best. Tell me to play Since 1983 again and there's no way I would match that score. Believe me; I've tried. |

sexiness. that's what you need to win, the ability to plop down and grind until good things happen.

Re: 7th Official FFR Tournament
Try using the in browser Velo built into the site. Much less lag than standalone for me, and almost all visual so you can still score somewhat well!

Guess I'm not dead yet, sitting on 6-clean and don't think I'll chance any more in a public setting today. Not everyone thinks FFR is as cool as us, lol
Might go for more tomorrow or during the week.

Re: 7th Official FFR Tournament
3 thoughts from me today:
1) Please, some variety in the song choice in D6 would be nice. Rock songs are great, but 3 in a row? Come on. 2) Anyone AAAing Press Start has no business in D5. Sorry, you are a sandbagger. 3) Press Start may be the worst file choice for a tournament I have ever seen. 3 hard parts that all require the same skill (jumptrill mashing basically). I have nothing against the file... it just shouldn't be used for a tournament. I apologize for the negativity. I still love everything about these tournaments despite these flaws

Re: 7th Official FFR Tournament
bballa, I see where you're coming from actually. D5 has mainly been difficulty spike files, like A Flower Garden and then Press Start.
D6 I've been playing with sound off so it doesn't bug me as much, but yeah, D6 has been getting relatively long files (first one over 3 minutes, then Since 1983 was almost 3, and now this is 4 minutes). |
