Re: 7th Official FFR Tournament
Pretty much. Nothing personal, haha. But you are clearly d6, it really isn't even debatable. But nonetheless it will be fun seeing and the other "clearly d6" d5 players duke it out.

Re: 7th Official FFR Tournament
I could see d5ers AAA'ing Press Start. All it basically requires is ability to learn rollwall/burst patterns and steel nerves for the minijack patterns in the jumpstream. It's hard, but it's definitely doable.

Re: 7th Official FFR Tournament
my only problem in press start is the last triplet wall, the rest I can AAA pretty decently
And the wall is 50/50 of either AAAing it or getting anywhere from 1-20 goods

Could AAA on a lucky run. Just that Middle roll section giving me problems 90% of the time.

Re: 7th Official FFR Tournament
Even with frame fixes Press Start is ugly, but there isn't any 2 frame interval sandwiching now.
I'd like to see D5 have a more consistent file next round |

Re: 7th Official FFR Tournament
as a difficulty consultant my two cents on the D4 file, I think it's a 68. I don't think it's a 70, it's definitely not as hard as Romance in the Club to PA or FC, but the file does feel harder than Chronograph.
And also on Press Start, I don't think it should be any higher in difficulty than Infinity Hyperspace (which I feel is harder in everyway), they should probably be the same difficulty. And also I don't think if anyone can AAA Press Start they are sand baggers. My reasoning is the 1-3-4 walls are among the easiest to jump through with consistent AAA's, the one in Inifinity Space is far harder to consistently AAA. The rest of the song is like a 68 with the exception of the roll wall. Thankfully, if you haven't found out already, it CAN be jumptrilled consistently. I fumbled around with it for a bit and found a pretty comfortable pace to jumptrill it that can net you a AAA consistently, and it's surprisingly slow. If a D5'er figures out the speed (which should be well within their capabilities) then it should be an ez AAA. I'll probably go AAA it later today, last night my comp was just on the fritz with lag and dragging me goods all over, which is also why I couldn't do the D4 song. PS subjectivemanias with all the bias, I find the D4 song way harder than the D5 song.

Re: 7th Official FFR Tournament
I do better on Romance in the Club.. but I'd take 68 on this, and aren't you the one that rated it a 64 to begin with?
I don't even know why you're a difficulty consultant at all.

Take this difficulty argument elsewhere lmfao.
Also, I agree with bballa. iironiic for D5. |

Re: 7th Official FFR Tournament
Well, aaaing press start isn't too far-fetched for a D5er.
It is our round song for the 7th Official FFR Tournament. We're playing to win(andhavefun~), and many of us will practice our round songs until we reached our limit, and beyond.

And yes, The Replicator is underrated by a few points. But it's still dancing in that ex-VC/FMO borderline territory (some of you might find it slightly more difficult if you have problems with jumpjackstream and quick bursts). I don't want to speak on behalf of Jae nor do I think I'm in any position to, but I'm under the impression that songs in this tourney will be a few notches higher in difficulty each round for most divisions compared to tourneys in the past. The outcome is still the same, the best players will win. Just that AAAs will be very rare past the halfway point of the tournament (except probably for D6 because zzz D6) edit: stavie, message me later today because you didn't have The Replicator as a 68 in your list..
