Re: Songs of the Week (Apr 1, 2015)
Although supporting and playing an awesome game like ffr,
sometimes it makes me wonder... why are there no epilepsy warnings? coming from a person who has sharp pain and full body shivers when intense colour fills my vision, going from a completely black screen to one of rainbows and stupid was quite intense... I'm sorry about the rant, but there really should be warnings, telling people like me that they shouldn't play the game on april fools there are jokes that make people look like fools, but when a joke makes someone have an epilepsy, idk if that's really a joke

Re: Songs of the Week (Apr 1, 2015)
that's it, ffr is now indistinguishable from the youtube comments........
also, never heard the phrase "have an epilepsy" lol anyways, even though robotomy the song is certainly pretty random and unstructured, it's not like ffr has a very high standard set in that regard |

If PWND! is here to stay, the artist should be "KnK" instead of DJ KANKAOH. The song is a collaboration between Nestlekwik and KANKAOH.
Also full title for Lettuce Regulation is "lettuce regulation. American blessings."

Pretty sure nobody can "play" Robotomy in realtime. Also, using the word as part of the definition? Cmon. Quote:
irrelevant Devil's Music Box isn't *good*. But it is music.

Re: Songs of the Week (Apr 1, 2015)
pretty much everything that is audio can be considered music.
Proof of this is that I have a friend that specializes in wall noise music albums, and robotomy is more pleasing to listen to than any song over there, if you can still call it a song. Music is merely an art of vocals, or sound. It can be as abstract as it wants to be. It's up to a person's bias whether or not it still counts as music. To be fair though; if you posed the same question 10 years ago, there would be quite an enormous amount of people that would side with you considering 10 years ago the term "music" wasn't as vague as it is today. link to the albums: http://barrfparty.bandcamp.com/ Last edited by gold stinger; 04-1-2015 at 09:59 PM.. |

I don't strongly disagree with a lot of what you are saying on a subjective level, just any effort to exclude certain types of music from being valid from these opinions. Visual art can be discussed and criticized on the basis of composition, color, perspective, focus, realism, et cetera, but nothing ceases to be "actual" art by violating any aspects. Robotomy is incredibly unpleasing to a lot of people, but Robotomy isn't not music. It is for the first reason that it can be argued to be unacceptable on FFR, but not for the second.
