Based on your number of boos you now need a combo of 12780 for the normal quest.

gold stinger has completed the Novice and Normal Quests!

slightly confused and would like clarification regarding this: since I'm almost level 10 now, if I want to open that chest, I'd have to do so before I reach level 11 as per some post someone made at some point that I don't feel like hunting down since it's not in the OP? Or was that specifically for chests awarded prior to that ruling? (I'm still really confused about the whole chest opening situation)

You can open the 1 - 10 chests up until Level 11 (Once you reach level 11 you cannot open those chests).

If the Elite Quest EXP is gonna bump me straight to level 11 (since I'm only 5 EXP away from level 10 atm), please open it now. If it won't do that, I'll wait a level.

I've made sure that it won't, the leaders will be 5 exp away from lvl 11.

It won't bump you straight to 11, so no worries!
