Re: [SponCon #123ABC] Prescribed Learning Outcomes
@420 (lol)
Social studies "Our Courage will pull us through, You teach me and I'll teach you" Teach each other the value of courage to persevere and @1135 - Our courage will pull us through @48 - I want to be the very best, that no one ever was These lyrics are teaching us to be strong and couragous, and that will pull in through in our quest to be the very best It's about persistance and an eagerness to acheive your goals, as long as you have the courage to face the challenges ahead Last edited by TheSaxRunner05; 12-4-2014 at 07:15 PM.. |

The following submissions have been removed from the OP. The FFR Ministry of Education does not feel they comply with our program requirements, and feels your songs do not teach any material of value on the subject of Social Studies.
* rayword45: Politically Correct Holiday Song "I'm dreaming of a white and black and yellow and red and brown multicultural Christmas" (@ 107 combo) * rayword45: Bricks "And when our children fight our wars, While we sit back just keeping score, We're teaching murder not understanding now." (@ 45 combo) * Riotpolice: Humanism "Our children are being lost....they are falling into a pit of hell" (@ 450 combo) |

Taking too many years of history courses probably caused that connection in my head. Anyways "One of the reasons why, the movement, began to move executions behind prison's, is the effect that it would have on young people, their parents would take them to witness an execution, thinking that perhaps it would have some salutary effect, they would hold em up so that they could get a good glimpse and all of that" AC: 920 Education Defense: Social Studies (Come the fuck on it's sampled from a documentary about public executions or something.)

Re: [SponCon #123ABC] Prescribed Learning Outcomes
Language Arts
@The entire chart Lesson Plan: Discuss how the lyrics of Tom Lehrer's "A Christmas Carol" makes a mockery of the simultaneously commerical and joyful nature of the Christmas holiday. First, ask the students what he means by - "On Christmas Day you can't get sore, Your fellow man you must adore, There's time to rob him all the more The other three hundred and sixty-four." Afterwards, ask the students why 'holiday cheer' is limited to the holidays. Take responses. Then ask students to write a short essay detailing examples of commercialism in the modern day Christmas celebration. This should be at least 10 sentences in length. For homework, have the students write a poem of their own, either critical of the holiday or in its defense. On a future class, make a chart of how many defended the holiday, or critiqued it. Edit:// I'm trying to be creative here, Language Arts seems really hard to find in FFR lyrics Last edited by TheSaxRunner05; 12-4-2014 at 07:39 PM.. |

Re: [SponCon #123ABC] Prescribed Learning Outcomes
Philosophy is commonly defined as a social science, but is typically placed under the social studies category when it's its own course in a college, if I'm correct.
Yeah I'm pulling this out my ass but whatever. I'd have to explain my philosophy right! Three things One Work is its own reward The more you work The better life goes I don't care if you get a paycheck or not Don't sit on your dead butt and get something outta life! AC: 256 Education Excuse: Yeah, I'm stretching, but I explained my best reasoning up there. The other excuse I have is that the loads of samples could easily be viewed as a satire of consumerism, which is something one would study in a social studies course.

Dude, I have no clue lol. Just crapshooting at this point. Most of the songs that have lyrics and are about lessons/school are taken.

Needles in the grass? Ok, snakes in the hay. Homogeny is engulfing culture. Strip malls and chains tear down the sanctity of days, supplant ancestry with amenity. Melting pots before thee, this blood will boil free. (Science) Bolded part starts at 231 combo.

Re: [SponCon #123ABC] Prescribed Learning Outcomes
I just played this horseshit cause two for one
How did Camus really die that night? Were they right? When he died was it really his time, or was it suicide? Holden Caulfield is a friend of mine, we go drinking from time to time, and I find it gets harder every time. AC: 150 First one is a history reference Second one needs no introduction (and later on, there's the line "Hey there Salinger, what did you do? Just when the world was looking to you to write anything that meant anything, you told us you were through") I'd rather this go in the English section though, cause it's looking empty. Don't anyone DARE tell me that Catcher in the Rye is not enough to be educational.

@badman7772 Unfortunately, I cannot accept your scores for It's Only Natural or Dimensions because they do not contain educational lyrics. When you pick your quotes, make sure they teach something about one of the curriculum topics.

Re: [SponCon #123ABC] Prescribed Learning Outcomes
This is what happens when you play with lag and still drunk from last night, multiple tries just to FC.
"The truth is running in our blood, the answers are lying here within." Starts at 0 combo or minute, and is practically the chorus for the song, I think this could work for science because if you for example make a test of some sort you could see the truth in the blood and we also have the DNA and stuff in our blood, this could be biology related. I hope this is valid
