Re: The Speedrunning Thread
Last night someone actually went over their estimated time.
Granted, it was the Pokemon TCG video game, but still. (Why he was using a water deck against the lightning-based grand master, I have no fucking clue.) |

Re: The Speedrunning Thread
A glitch was found where you can basically warp to some owl statues without having to unlock them.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-kdZxuCgJ_A Current re-routed version using this glitch saves about 4 minutes(?) |

Re: The Speedrunning Thread
Maybe, the current re-route is closer to 4 or 5 though.
There's still the possibility that this is gonna lead to more glitches too, when new glitches like this are found in a game with lots of already existing glitches some interesting stuff definitely can happen Last edited by Wafles; 01-19-2014 at 01:26 PM.. Reason: . |

Re: The Speedrunning Thread
Any good speedruns I should watch from AGDQ ?
My favourite so far were : - Super Monkey Ball 2 race, kinda hard to follow, but entertaining - TASBlock was short and fun - Power Shovel, great pick to close WTFJapan - Katamari Damacy, because I already played the game... and cetaka - F-Zero GX obviously - Glover wasn't a bad game - The Mask had some good commentary - Mirror's Edge was entertaining - Half-Life 2, fun commentary, great tips - Portal 1 & 2 - Super Punch-Out blindfolded was amazing - Super Metroid, epic ending - Minecraft, really unexpected speedrun

Re: The Speedrunning Thread
the yoshi's island run was pretty good. i'm not a huge trihex fan but carl_sagan's commentary was good and the whole thing was pretty entertaining to watch.

Re: The Speedrunning Thread
I personally found halo 2 entertaining. Great commentary as well as great runner. Also biased cause I love the game lol. I missed most if not all of the bonus stream after AGDQ ending. Was there any cool runs there?

Just a note, they're uploading all the runs from AGDQ2014 now. So if you happened to miss some, keep a look out for those.
