An unknown force seems to be affecting this thread and reduce everyone's ability to use arguments and constructive approach. It must be God's fault.

I'm going to pretend that I believe in God and counter everyone's argument with unstoppable logic. Challenge accepted?

          +1 for being bored.

If god exists why would he let us have the things around us that consistently prove something fundamentally different, based off observation, other than there being a God behind the scenes

The Pope walks into a bar. The bartender says, "what'll ya have, Pope?" But the Pope's grasp of English is tenuous at best, so he mumbles something in Latin. The bartender doesn't know any Latin. The Pope gets frustrated and leaves.

The pope walks into restaurant. The pop reads "Shepherds pie" and has a stroke. He comes to and says he saw a giant ham sandwich telling him he created God. He then charges to the kitchen and starts screaming incoherently at the top of his lungs, speaking in tongues, but intending to ask for him to destroy all of his ham. An arterie in his neck ruptures as a result of the incredibly high pitched whaling, and he dies.

                      thanks 4 reading

Unlikely but possible. Not enough information to continue arguing, must remain unproven theory.

to clarify: i didn't make an alt to troll, i'm ban evading because i was banned on circumstances i don't agree with (i posted "extremetube.com" [note: not even as a url] as a text body for a thread in TGB and got banned for a year for porn, then subsequently permanently banned for ban evading). the rule is really silly and doesn't make any sense... it's 2013, it's not 2003. porn is easy to come by, and everyone is generally of age, or at least masturbates. c'mon now.

Simple clues such as fossils, and evolution, which implies that the earth is not in fact only a few thousand years old

You can believe in God and Evolution at same time right? It's not because God exists that science don't, they both fit together. God made the universe and the "made the world in a few days" part is just an metaphor to make things easier to understand for people. It's actually as science is saying but seriously, can you imagine God explaining abiogenesis/evolution/etc. to your average person back in the day? Sometimes it's easier to keep things simple.
