Re: I Officially Hate The Rain
I like the rain but I hate thunder.
I'm at Taiwan right now and it gets to above 30 degrees here (86+ ºF) everyday.

i love rain. as long as i have an umbrella!!
dont really like lightning and thunder so much. especially when it make your lights flicker. i had that at work today, and my manager was gone for like and hour, and we thought he got hit by lightning, but he turned up, and was just held up by the heavy doenpour, lolz. |

Re: I Officially Hate The Rain
You have to realize that comfort is reliant about 50% on temperature and 50% on humidity. 28 degrees in a humid environment can be worse than 35 in a dry one.
I have friends who come from dry, hot climates (India, etc). They say that here in southern Ontario where it's very humid, they find the heat during the summer more unbearable than back home where it is at least 10 degrees hotter. The difference is the humidity. So yes, 78 can be hot for some, and it might be hot for you if you were in their environment. It really depends. Personally I'm fine until it hits about 28 or 29 degrees. This humid environment makes it really different. We have the "humidex" - heard of it? No, it's not an excuse to be Canadian and be pissed off about weather that isn't really that warm. Ask people who travel. A dry heat is far better than a wet one. I used to wonder how people could tolerate temperatures of 35 and up. It never gets that hot here. I think the record was something like 33 a few years ago. But whatever. When it reaches that temperature here, everything shuts down because people start getting heat strokes like mad, just from being outside for an hour. I used to wonder how it can get to temperatures nearing 40 and above, and people live in this heat... I am pretty sure they couldn't stand it if it were a humid heat. But I don't know that humid places get that warm.

Re: I Officially Hate The Rain
Right...i personally don't mind temperatures that much, it's the humidity that gets me. There's just something about walking outside and being instantly drenched in sweat that i don't like. without the humidity, i could go up to like 115 F(i don't know what C) without even noticing.

Mm... yeah, I guess Chrissi's right (didn't read all of that though).
If it's 78 outside I'm fine. But sitting at the computer inside when it hits 78 in here just kills me.

Re: I Officially Hate The Rain
Rain is evil... it always comes every time I get something lucky. For example: Today, I went to the hobby shop and picked up a pack of Yu-Gi-Oh! cards (Light of Destruction set). I pulled an Honest, the rarest card in the set (Ghost Rare). I go outside, and guess what? IT STARTS RAINING. My new rare card got destroyed... T_T
Hail is cool, though. |

Re: I Officially Hate The Rain
Rain isn't evil for me, just annoying. It prevents me from going outside and exercising and limits my places to have lunch.

Nope, it's still alive. The only reason why it died is because of 4Kids's horrible let's-make-every-character-make-bad-puns-after-every-freaking-sentence and let's-doctor-the-crap-out-of-this-show-so-that-little-5-year-old-kids-can-enjoy-what-was-originally-a-13+-show dubbing.
