Test Subbys

I think it would be nice if the staff could give active members a 1 week subby once every year we are on.
Well what I mean by this is, If we have been active, they give us a option to use a one week subscription, It may be a way to get more members to actualy buy a subscription. The catch would be we can only use it once per year.

Hmmm....nice idea. I think it will want people to be more active, and get them to see how being a subscriber enhances FFR.

Yeah, and I just put down a week, They could also do something like once a month or once a year.

I think a week is too long though non - subscribers would beg to differ. This is a good idea nontheless.

A week is certainly NOT too long. And I'd stick with the once-per-year thing.

Yeah my first thought was a one day but that seems to short. but 1 week out of the whole year could be nice.

They could set a bunch of things to what you have to do before allowed one.
like more than 500 gameplays, 500 posts, etc

I actually have to say maybe to this, the site has only been up for 5 years, so that's only 5 weeks in this huge amount of time. I don't think 1 week every year would hurt. Although there's no real point in having a subscription aside from the donation, the extra features aren't much, assuming nothing as breakthrough as the avmiss fix happens again.

Well my free subscription isnt going away for along time so sure, go for it. Although i think it would turn people off to buying a subscription.

It can change the mindset of getting a subscription. Either they like what they see, and purchase it--or if they don't like what is seen, they can just use it for the one week and move on.

I think this is a great idea.

The reason that many FFR features are restricted to subscribers is that publicizing the feature to the community would make the site too heavy. Well, this can certainly be circumvented by rotating the subscription week so not all players get this week at once, but I believe that would be too tedious.

It's not easy to organize 1.5 million members into 52 weeks and managing subbies for them. ^^;

The problem isn't the length of the trial. It's the maintenance and organization of it.

Or we could mess with non subscribers and have the links link to what X page WOULD look like IF they were a subscriber. Followed with the option to subscribe.

Subscriptions are like 3 dollars, just pick up some change for a couple days and get a month subscription.
