How do I get this feature?

Does anyone know how to get this clapping sound feature in stepmania.

This randomly turns on for some reason sometimes. I want to know how to keep it off. When you play a song like Vertex BETA and have clapping sounds all over it, it's damn annoying...

hold on a sec, i think it is called assist ticks, right? correct me if wrong.

It is assist tick, i believe its in the 2nd page of the game options (hit enter after you select a song)

it shouldn't come on randomly when you're playing a song unless you have it turned on.

To turn off- Click your song>hit enter>look for "assist">slide to off>hit enter.

To turn on- Do the same steps but slide to on and hit enter.

You can also press F7 in game to turn it on or off.

Must've clicked F7 when I was increasing/decreasing volume levels.

I thought F4 toggled assist tick? Maybe that's just in the step editor.
