![]() Pretty fun, no surprise my beat alignment is my best stat considering I have no musical background other than rhythm games.

![]() I am pretty sure I got 2 wrong on each one, but the first two were mostly a case of poor short term memory.

![]() ![]() I think the test needs an option to replay the samples, some were super long and I found myself struggling to remember what came before (mostly in the first test), it ended up feeling more like a memory quiz to me than a music quiz in similar theory tests they just played the samples on loop for an allotted amount of time for example

![]() My issue with the mistuning perception part was entirely that my brain couldn't do "If both are out of tune in different directions, which is -more- out of tune" and only whether it was basically in tune or out, so I flubbed several "I think it's A, no, B, oops wrong"
See also "Highest score is Beat, lowest is tune, oops I'm a drummer" ![]() Eyy I just noticed I have the 2nd highest Beat Alignment score Last edited by Not devonin; 03-4-2020 at 10:06 PM.. |

![]() I want to see someone who associates themselves to abstract music to take this test.
I got a 102. I blame breakcore and un-even BPM's. I also blame singers that got famous and not caring about their vocals matching with the tone of their music. (Looking at you, Elton John.) Last edited by gold stinger; 03-4-2020 at 10:48 PM.. |

![]() I was a percussionist and still screwed up beat alignment
I'm pretty sure I was perfect on mistuning perception so now I'm wondering why my score there is lower than everyone else's

a) you misremember actually getting it perfect b) you took the test more than once and said so, and the system adjusts your score for people who said they did it a second time c) it's graded on a curve and between our submissions and yours, some large number of high-scoring people pushed the curve down |

![]() I got an overall score of 119, and got a 119 on all 3 of the tests.
For each question, I closed my eyes and listened to the music. It helped me to ignore the surroundings and concentrate. I think this also enabled me to visualize the music in some way: In the melodic discrimination test, each of the tunes kind of 'drew' an imaginary shape in my mind, and in the mistuning perception test, I see in-tune music as two puzzle pieces fitting together and out-of-tone music as those pieces not being able to be placed together.
